And when the wingers manage to push forward, there's no midfielder making a run into their box to receive cutbacks.

Why are we still using static banners on the advertisement board in our stadium in 2025? Even little Rwanda is using electronic digital board. So much for the so called giant of Africa.

Maybe coaches ain't the only problem afterall.
Technical abilities, skills and decisions of the players also have a long way in determining outcomes
You have it all summed up. See that Chkwueze and Lookmon chances na. They have to be more clinical with these chances!

Just 45mins mouth don dey change compared to Rwanda match.
The same set of people that were praising the new coach and players to high heavens, are the same set,now casting same forward line and team.
If you continue looking at results only to judge a team, you would always have this kind of reaction.
But if you critically point out areas of shortcomings while praising good play, then you won't be disappointed.
I repeat,Nigeria would still likely win this match, but I also repeat the new coach so far has not done anything different from what Eguavon and Finidi did:same bunch of main players, same slow approach, only Osimhein always trying to add some bite.
A new coach that has something new to bring would not start Chukwueze and Ndidi.
Nobody is asking why he is playing Aina as a left, rather than a right full back.

Lookman is a better threat from the wings. Why not withdraw either of Chukwueze and reinforce midfield with Onyedika or Alhassan.
I hope this formation doesn't backfire. The Zimbabweans are slick when breaking.

Perhaps you are watching the back of your TV

Did we even dominate the first half? I doubt. The Zimbabwe passes are more accurate than ours
You don’t know football. Because goals are not coming doesn’t mean there is no cohesion and coordination in the team. Check how many chances that were not converted. Do you think there is any small team in football these days? Or you prefer their old pattern of play where they just kick the ball into a thin air without a pattern. This is football and goals can sometimes be very hard to convert especially when opponents are very defensive. Even Real Madrid, and BACA faces this same challenges sometimes

That's my prayer.

They don't win.

Is it his brand of football we want to watch them play in world cup?

It's better they stay back than been a leverage for others to ride over.
World Cup is different from African football. They will up their game if they make it.

But in this match, they just look too lethargic for me. A shadow of the team that played on Friday. We need ball winners in that midfield. The Zimbabweans are just here to run the clock down to favour their neighbours. In a qualifying series that goals scored are important, we've only managed 2 goals at home. SMH

Do you want to compare this game with our last game with Rwanda?

If we can play like that at away, what's stopping is from improving at home.

We don't need a draw in this game. Infact, we need to win our remaining matches

Take Chukwueze fr example, he's not staying in his position, he's not marking

Osei in his case is playing as a forward winger when he's a defence winger. Those are the 2 leaving gaps in this game so far

Nigeria problem now is just midfield and wingers. We need young blooded creative guy's that can create problem for the opposition half. Not old men always playing the ball to the back. So unfortunate we have one of the best finishers in the world. Good defence and goalie all to waste. All the whole Nigeria can't they get young guys like Musiala

NFF should have rejected those officials the moment the were appointed to officiate this match, my reason is this, the three officials are from eritrea a country in southern part of africa, zimbabwe our opponent is also a southern africa country, while our main rival in this group is south africa another country located in southern part of africa. Cafe president is also a south african
