Welldone Osimhen. It's so unfortunate our finishers found themselves in this era.
Finishers? As in more than one? Please who are they?

Lets. Just forget going to world cup

Rubbish
Apologies to Osimen

We do not deserve world cup

That coach is a bad manager
This is African football , these foreign base at the attack , defense and midfield are all tired , release the home base for final defense ...these foreign base would be more useful a the main world cup ...not until we make use of majorly merit-base home base players during qualifier , we would never qualify for world cup ...it has been happening, over and over again ... Nigeria team lacks the energy needed for African football ... Ekong , Lookman , Aina were all gasing out instead of the mumu confused coach to bring fresh blood t cover up a the defense and midfield , he was bringing attackers at the 85mins wit lead ... The Zim coach capitalise on that ....Osayi was gone already the coach was to confused to see it... Lookman was also gone ...they aren't used to Africa weather and physical football

We can qualify if South Africa loses to Lesotho, Zimbabwe and us.

Losing to us is possible. Losing to Lesotho and Zimbabwe? No. Infact if we beat south Africa and they draw against Zim and thrash Lesotho, we are out.
Everyone go get your calculators 😂😂😂😂😂

Super Eagles should stop playing at Uyo - that stadium is jinxed! The super Eagles players always appear lethargic playing on that pitch.

Lagos is the natural home of the Eagles;they should be taken there.

I watched Brazil, Columbia match. You needed to see the pace of the game. Very fast pace, lot of running. Name doesn’t win a game, you need to put in the work. The match was too slow. Some players were too big to track back. Ademola Lookman should have been removed early on.
Ademola is another olodo.... Dey waka like person wey carry shit for yansh undecided

There is no point of going to WC if Super Eagles can't beat Zimbabwe at home with all the players they have.

If we finish second we have to be among the best 4 second place finishers who will play a tournament.

Winner of tournament goes to another intercontinental tournament to determine who goes to the world cup

Why? Even if we win our remaining matches?
"Even if" is a conditional statement....and you're basing that on their opponents coming to sleep on the field!

3 teams out of the 4 matches remaining are ahead of them on the table. They will be playing SA away who will only need a draw after their next win against Lesotho.

The question is how will they get 4 wins and adequate goal difference? And even if they do, SA would need to lose at least 2 matches in order to concede the first position to Nigeria.

If they win the next 4 matches, they may qualify via play offs, but that will depend on the aggregate and coefficient of all the teams currently jostling for WC ticket.

I like the way everyone is punching Calculator. I hate to bring bad news. Realistically, it's over. I don't know much about this SA 3-points deduction. Maybe that may help Nigeria. However, SA have done themselves even better advantage with today's win over Benin so much that 3-points deduction may not be stop them from qualifying. They will have their Southern teams (Lesotho & Zimbabwe) easing-off for them if the worst comes.

Ordinary Zimbabwe outperformed them

Sham !!!

Tinubus body odour is real

South Africa deserves to qualify
Zimbabwe outperformed who? You guys talk a lot of nonsense on this site. Nigeria clearly outplayed Zimbabwe for the entire game, but lost concentration at the end.

We created numerous chances but lacked the finishing edge.

Look my brother, ANY TIME I WATCH SUPER EAGLES in that small, local, quiet stadium in Uyo, I JUST SHAKE MY HEAD.

Super Eagles have NO BUSINESS playing there

A SMALL 35,000 capacity stadium in the middle of nowhere.

I WAS OPPORTUNED TO ATTEND GAMES AT THE SURULERE NATIONAL STADIUM BACK IN THE DAYS OF OKOCHA AND KANU AND FINIDI AND CO.

85,000 Capacity. But 120,000 fans inside.

FILLED WITH FANATICAL LAGOS FANS SCREAMING THEIR LUNGS OUT.

Just the size and noise alone INTIMIDATED visiting teams.

EVEN BEFORE THE GAME STARTED.

Supporters Club…. YOU WILL BE HEARING THEIR MUSIC FROM THE START TO FINISH NON STOP. LOUD.

A team like Zimbabwe would be BURIED IN AN AVALANCHE OF GOALS in those days.

TAKE THE EAGLES BACK TO “STADIUM”!!!!!!!!

I pray their talents dont go to waste
What am i even saying….they are doing well in their clubs
Bro in terms of effectiveness in super Eagles Moses Simon is far superior than Lookman in my opinion.

NOT THIS UYO RUBBISH.
Excuses....

This current super eagles are total useless, not discipline and zero commitment......

That is if we do well enough to be in the four slots for the intercontinental tournament.

Because as it stands, Benin and Rwanda are in pole position there for now.
If you understand "Permutations and Combinations", for us to get 19 points, others have to drop points.

So as it stands, it's not possible for 2 other teams to secure 19 points after SA has clinched the first position. Mathematically, only one team can hit 19-points, well, unless SA lose the 1st position.

..but according to news.. they said FIFA can reduct 3 points away from south Africa for playing an ineligible player against lesotho..the player already had 2 yellow cards..so FIFA is investigating the matter
Very true, but from what I read, there is 24hrs to file a petition and I don’t think Lesotho or Nigeria filed in time.

It is a FIFA rule but I wouldn’t be is Motsepe tries to influence the verdict

Meanwhile South Africa has taken the lead over Benin.

If not for the fact that I reject every form and manifestations of superstition, I would have sworn that someone placed a curse on Nigerian football.
I'm not a superstitious person as well

But you've pointed out what is going on

And that's where some of the bosses see their money, with progress for the national team, that means the players and the coaches take the shine and glory

But with backwardness, favour comes their way, by eating and requesting for fund that they need to hire and do dis and dat.
