Argentina are the real masters of dark arts when it comes to international football. They'll body, dominate, sh!!thouse, defend deep when necessary and take their chances going forward. DePaul and Dibu are just something else. Good luck playing against them Lol ![]() Ralphinha fccked around and found out real quick. Ancelloti should fix Brazil |

Leyqute:It is not about Joelinton in isolation but about team balance. They were away in a fired-up atmosphere against the area boys of world football. Joelinton with Andre and Gomes behind him would have given them more balance and control than Joelinton with only Andre beside him. Also Newcastle is different. He has Tonali and Bruno G with him in midfield there and even their wingers like Murphy, Willock, Gordon and co are jagudas themselves. |

All that big talk just for three shots in the entire game. If not for Romero e for be 4-0 ![]() |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Leyqute(m): 9:52am On Mar 26, 2025 |
lordfalcao:Brazilian NT has been watered down over the years. If Argentina was to beat them, it shouldn’t be by a 4-1 score line. They lack a potent striker and the team’s overall defense is not as strong as it used to be |

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Leyqute(m): 9:59am On Mar 26, 2025 |
sod09:Maybe Gabu would’ve helped but with that midfield and forward line, I don’t think the outcome would have been any different. It lacked depth, quality and most importantly, it is not balanced. Even when they had the ball, they couldn’t do much with it.

Leyqute:Yes of course I was joking by mentioning gabu, they were played all round, vini also choked. As they carry banter enter NT, I am waiting for raphinha clap back |

afrodoc2:I was only asking a honest question. I thought the midfield set up would provide enough cover defensively. But for the attack to be that toothless… |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Gucciboy: 10:14am On Mar 26, 2025 |
Vinicius Jr: 39 games, 6 goals, 6 assists Rodrygo: 33 games, 7 goals, 1 assist. In the Brazil shirt. Inconsistent. Toothless. Flat-out awful in most games. All that talent, nothing to show for it. No end product. No personality

| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by afrodoc2: 12:28pm On Mar 26, 2025 |
Leyqute:You need some element of control in midfield in order to consistently create good attacks. Sometimes less in attack is more, especially when facing a home crowd and jagudas like the Argies. If you like pack 6 attackers, if they are not getting the ball in areas that they are comfortable in, they would be wasted. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Roland17(m): 12:29pm On Mar 26, 2025 |
AirBere:It is is not dark arts, this is actually CONMEBOL football. It is not individual, it is intense, physical but quite technical and theatrical. Argentina also parade the superstars but they know when to play South American football when it is needed. |

afrodoc2:For me,that's how Brazil play right from time.I was watching the replay of 2006 worldcup match between France vs. Brazil some times ago and discovered that none of them were marking except Gilberto Silva. France players were just transiting the ball easily, without any Brazilian players trying to take the ball of them except for GS. I watched another Brazil game and it was only Emerson doing the marking in the midfield. So i just concluded it's a Brazilian thing. |

popizaino:It is not a Brazil thing. That 2006 team was criticized for its imbalance. Even then Ze Roberto was there to help Gilberto Silva in midfield. 1990 they used Alemao and Dunga. 1994 they used Dunga and Mauro Silva. 1998 they used Dunga and Cesar Sampaio. 2002 they planned to use Gilberto Silva and Emerson and during the tournament settled for Gilberto Silva and Kleberson. That disgusting 2010 Brazil squad finally settled on Gilberto Silva and Felipe Melo. Brazil traditionally uses double pivot CDM in order to accommodate having overlapping fullbacks and their tricky forward players. As far back as 1982 they had Cerezo and Falcao. P.S I just nearly threw up now just thinking of that Brazil 2010 team. What a disgusting and phucking disgraceful team. |

afrodoc2:This man lol. Why are you making the team look way worse. I don't think they were that bad. In the build up to the tournament, many people had them as one of the favourites. In the game Vs Netherlands, they were tipped to qualify by ESPN and Sky sports. Some of their players just won the treble; Lucio, Maicon and Julio Caesar. Dani Alves was in his prime, Juan was doing well for Roma and was a starter in 2006 as well. Michel Bastos had arguably his best season leading Lyon to the UCL semi final. Melo started strongly with Juventus before fading off but made the squad just like how Acuna(Argentina) made it as a bench player for Sevilla. Thiago Silva was on the bench and Kaka although now injury prone was still key. Luiz Fabiano was above average. The squad was not bad as you put it lol. Let's not forget Elano😜our free kick maestro. I think that 2010 team will completely smash the 2014 team and you didn't consider throwing up on them. For context, in my opinion, the 2010 team is not so different from the 2006 French team that reached the final. Coupet was ahead and we all thought he was gonna start ahaed of washed Bartez, Thuram was on his last legs and I think was recalled from retirement, same with Zidane. Wth all due respect to Gallas, he was never a world class centre back. But he and Thuram did the job anyways in 006. They started slowly and eventually got there. The point I'm trying to make here is that with a better luck and a more enterprising coach, the Brazil 2010 squad could've reached the final too. I doubt they were as bad they way you just painted them here lol. |

AirBere:I am talking about their style of play and the quality of football. I have watched about 10 different Brazil world cup teams. That is by far the most un-Brazilian and disgusting of all their squads. No flair and all muscle and agidi. The only serviceable attacking player they had was Luis Fabiano. Kaka was already starting to be washed, and Robinho was utterly washed. All their good players were defenders and fullbacks, that is why you are mentioning Maicon, Dani Alves, Julio Cesar, and Lucio. The 2014 team was mediocre too, but the flair of Neymar alone made them more enjoyable to watch. That 2010 team was a crime against Brazilianity. |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Leyqute(m): 5:57pm On Mar 26, 2025 |
Gucciboy:Brazil’s downfall became clearer after Neymar’s exit tbh. That drubbing by Germany at the World Cup without him was indicative enough of their decline. Time only cemented it. That’s why they’re struggling currently even though football quality has dropped across the board. |

afrodoc2:Okay so it's about the overall team performance and not really based on the players. In that case you should remember that Dunga is known as the most UnBrazilian Brazilian as he was very stiff like Deschamps as a player. As such, most teams are the embodiment of their coach and not necessarily the players. I get it now. |
