In a major boost for small businesses, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno, has kept his promise to support entrepreneurs by equipping local food processor Mrs. Ifeoma Itoro with a fully furnished factory, essential machinery, and N2 million in working capital.

This intervention follows a pledge made by the Governor on March 11, 2025, during a business empowerment event at Uyo Township Stadium, where over 2,000 entrepreneurs received equipment and financial support. At the event, Mrs. Itoro personally appealed to the Governor for assistance in expanding her food processing business.

Moved by her request, Governor Eno immediately instructed the Commissioner of Trade and Investment, Dr. Ubong Inyang, to facilitate the setup of her business.

Just two weeks later, on March 25, 2025, Mrs. Itoro received the promised support, including a fully equipped factory designed to enhance her production capacity. The Governor also provided her with N2 million as working capital, ensuring financial stability for her business growth.

Expressing deep gratitude, Mrs. Itoro thanked the Governor for his generosity and prayed for continued blessings upon him and his administration.

The brief presentation ceremony was attended by key government officials, including the Commissioner of Trade and Investment, Dr. Ubong Inyang, and the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Mrs. Emem Ibanga, highlighting the state government's commitment to empowering small-scale entrepreneurs.

How do you gift someone a Chinese generator with an aluminum coil and expect them to run a factory?

5 million is too small. I was expecting 10-20M considering how our politicians do squander money on irrelevant things. That machine I see there is 250k in Onitsha. I don't know why the said 5million. 250k plus 2million is the actual benefit I can see there. Others na audio to me....But thanks anyways for the one u done do. If others can emulate u Shia

Seems we complain about everything in Nigeria. I do not support giving money to individual persons. I prefer a workshop where everyone is there acquiring skills and learning not a single person getting this kind of benefits. But may be it's her DIVINE FAVOUR.

This woman asked for 2m in the original video. The governor has now given her 2m cash plus some things needed to kick start her biz. Total package is 5m. Believe me there are millions hoping for just 500k to buy second hand okada bike to ride.

I think there's no need for complaints, she should just be grateful. She asked for 2m and got more than that.

I think God has already compensated him for the loss of his wife but he is yet to see it.

Even if they bought a Japanese Generator with copper coil for her, you would have still complained about the colour.

Create a system that will provide funds for people in need of finances for their businesses, not all these situations like peasants in medieval times begging for alms from their lord, after her more people will try to emulate what she did whenever they come close to the governor, and the useless politicians we have we use it as a opportunity to act like the citizens they are stealing and oppressing
