At least it is clear to them that their leader is a military man. Now imagine her neighboring country..... Good morning Nigerian people. I pray you find something to eat today. Give us this day our daily bread. The first desire Jesus want for us is to have food to eat. |

AmazingGenius:When you attract the military to power, they will consolidate and never let go. The are predictable in that context. Nonsense! That is the reason poor democracies are better than the best of military because they are autocratic, ruthless and power grabbers. |
| Re: Niger Coup Leader Sworn In As President For Five Years by amazingspiderma: 7:45am On Mar 27, 2025 |
Adebishow:Corrupt Democratic leadership always attracts military government. It is a corrective measure, to save a nation from self destruction. This is a historical fact. |

amazingspiderma:Lol. What historical fact are you talking about? When Spain transitioned from Franco’s fascism to democracy, it wasn’t tanks or military but elections that built stability or your own idea of “corrective action” is to suspend constitutions, murder dissenters, and hoard power?. Democracies, no matter how shambolic, at least allow citizens to change leaders. Name one military regime that left a nation more democratic, prosperous, and free than it found it. |

Nigeria should unleash more sanctions on Niger republic |
| Re: Niger Coup Leader Sworn In As President For Five Years by Moroccoguy: 8:32am On Mar 27, 2025 |
Ikaeniyan0:People like you didn't support the sanction when Tinubu did in the past. |

dangermouse:You must have misunderstood my statement. When I mentioned Spain's shift from Franco's dictatorship to democracy, I was trying to tell how it was the democratic process that brought about stability, not military intervention. Spain managed to transition to democracy despite the hangover from all those years of authoritarian rule, not because of it. Do you understand? |
| Re: Niger Coup Leader Sworn In As President For Five Years by 1BillionThumbs: 8:37am On Mar 27, 2025 |
Botragelad:Citizens didn't choose Tinubu in the last election mind you. So the democracy we're practicing here is undemocratic. |

amazingspiderma:If we are to be purist, 100% of democratic leadership engage in corruption as does 100% of military regimes. So, who is correcting who? |

Obidients supported and celebrated the Junta from their rooms in Nigeria. See where they have pushed the people of Niger republic. When they support you, forget it, you're finished. |

God bless the soul of Gen. Sabi (Sani) Abacha When he ruled Nigeria, we all could eat We all could sleep with 2 eyes closed We all could travel without getting kidnapped Yes, he was ruthless to whoever opposed him But at least IF you dont oppose him, u ar Ok Today being alive alone in Nigeria is a risk Even if you dont oppose the government You still are not safe from hunger You are not safe from insecurity Today - those who opposed Abacha’s regime Calling it undemocratic wont lift a finger to 1. Protect our lives and property 2. Ensure we are safe from kidnappers 3. Stop Fulani from killing our farmers 4. Ensure every Nigerian lives with dignity Abacha Sani, please forgive me for opposing you then, we were all deceived by NADECO Today, a NADECO chieftain is at the helm He is worse than anything you could ever be God bless you for warning us then that they are a threat to National Security- Today you have been vindicated, God bless your soul 😇 |

Xisnin:Except that in the case of demo you have a whole bunch of thieves plus the courts and lawyers at Fed, state, and local, then cost of running elections, INEC, appealing, etc. The cost of governance becomes very high |
