Claiming to boost local production.
Na so foreign rice take cheap pass local.
Na inverters them suppose place that ban on.

All inverters coming to the country should be assembled here in the country.

Hello guys. I saw this from a friend. The inverter capacity is 1400VA/1000W. 4 panels and two batteries.

* firstly how good is that setup snd how good is that inverter.

*secondly he said he has no idea on how to charge the battery separately while using power grid separely. (That's when there is light). The only way the batter charges is when the inverter is in use and nepa brings light. Is there a way the battery can be charging separately while you're using power grid at the same time?

Thanks for your input.
Nobody even answer me coz it doesn't involve money and they have nothing to gain.

Na real wah for we Nigerians.

Weytin be the essence of this thread then?

My brother. People here are your regular Joes, answering questions based on their knowledge, experience and in their spare time.
No one "owes" anyone answers / solutions, so, please ask again as it may just have been skipped.

Also, the question may not be very clear, how do you mean "charge separately"?

What inverter brand / model is this? Does it have a charger builtin? Typically, inverters with chargers onboard will charge the battery if configured to do so when there's grid power and supply power to the load at the same time.

Cheers

Guy take am easy. Almost everyone here are busy professionals and not necessarily sales or inverter guru. We share from experience.

As per your questions, it will help if you post the name of the inverter I know there are some inverters that only charge with grid when they are inverting, that is if you switch off the inverter they will not charge.

Avoid such inverter at all cost!

I hope this helps!

Hello,

I am looking to upgrade my energy storage system and am therefore selling my Cworth 100Ah battery (noting that reviews indicate an actual capacity of 86Ah).

• Price: 750,000
• Purchased: July 2024 for 1,150,000 (receipt available)
• Condition: Well-maintained, never discharged below 20%, as it was part of a parallel setup providing 15kWh.

I can bet all my life savings that one random guy from nowhere will definitely ask a question about anything Solar in few hours time😂. Just watch and see.

Went to Cworth alaba today.

I used the Armstrong format, I learnt something new.
When you go there never ask them for price or how much they're selling. Just use the prices below. Works like charm.

Asking them price or how much they're selling and then they know you're jjc and inflate prices.

Got 2 500w panels and a 100a 12v battery.

Please recommend appropriate inverter, battery and solar panel sizing for the following equipment

7 computers each consuming 330 watts or 2,310 watts total

1 printer that consumes 20 watts

1 non inverter 2hp air conditioner that consumes 2,000 watts approximately

2 display units that consume 550 watts each or a total of 1100 watts

Assuming that I need to power these for 8 hours non-stop and I also need the battery to be fully charged at the end of the day.

Will a 7.5kw inverter do the job or should I make it 10kw?

Thanks for your advice

A 7.5kw inverter would be running at effectively 67% capacity constantly. Do 10kw instead.

I'm so confused how people still ask questions like this in this 21st century.

Chief drop the below address on Google map that's all.

No 4 Ozonnagbo Close, Alh. Okin St, Alaba Rago Rd, off by sunny bus stop, Ojo, Lagos

Based on my calculations 5,430 watts running for 9 hours means 48.87kWh.

What is the appropriate solar panel and battery sizing for the above?

is 15kW of solar panels and 20kw of battery good enough?

Yes it's more than sufficient. Even a good 6kw inverter is excellent, 5kw is also fine.
