delpee:I agree he organized one of the most freest and fairest election. But he would have own that glory fully if he was bold enough to announce the final election result officially. What is the benefit of a free election if it does not return the rightful winner? |

gidgiddy:Oga, nobody announced any june 12, 93 election result, or are you high? |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by DeOTR: 11:10pm On Mar 27, 2025 |
bong4:If Nwosu announced the winner, MKO wouldn't have any need to declare himself the winner, and consequently going to jail for it. It's basic knowledge that a winner can only emerge if the chairman of the electoral body announce it after collation of the results. If you're old enough in 1993, you should have known that we only knew MKO won from collated results, not from Nwosu announcing him the winner. The way you people attempt to rewrite history is very alarming. Wetin happen!!! |

funshint:How did i lie? Please can you swear that HN didn't announce 85% of the results of that election in the states? May thunder fire your mouth and may God punish you all for insulting the memory of the man who even made sure that MKO got the subtle idea that he won the election, because if he didn't go ahead and announce the result in most of the states, he wouldn't have known. |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by obyno82: 3:09am On Mar 28, 2025 |
porthouse7:Let me ask you one question, if you were in HN's shoes will you announce the results of a ward talk more 85% of the states in Nigeria? You people talk like it is easy to resist the military. How did MKO know that he had won the election? Was it not the results HN announced even when he was told not to announce it? God will strike all of you dead for lying and insulting that man's memory. |

gidgiddy:Your usual penchant to distort history and then play the ethnic victim card is no longer surprising to me on these Nairaland boards. You have consistently lied about whether Ironsi or Gowon abrogated regionalism in Nigeria. You have consistently told lies about the Nigeria/Biafra civil war . You have consistently lied about the role of Nnamdi Kanu/Simon Ekpa and IPOB in the murder and Mayhem that has engulfed Eastern Nigeria for over 6 years while you have safely hidden yourself and your family in Lagos. Revision of history is the forte of the average Ibo man. Chinua Achebe was an expert at this. Cyprian Ekwensi was a master at this. Uche Chukwumerije was a grand master at it. So I am not surprised that their offspring named gidgiddy will be a master of propaganda and lies however you can rest assured that no one is going to allow you get away with your lies on June 12th 1993 election annulment. You will be opposed and resisted vigorously! Humphrey Nwosu was a collaborator of military rule and military government. He was never a hero of June 12 election. He was a failure and a coward who did not do the job he was paid to do and because of this so many Nigerians lost their lives and livelihood fighting the military rule. Those are the true heroes of June 12. The senate even erred by giving Nwosu a useless one minute of silence. This was spitting on the graves of the uncountable numbers of Nigerians that died in the June 12 brouhaha! |

| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by obyno82: 8:13am On Mar 28, 2025 |
funshint:Oga did you watch Humphrey Nwosu's account of what happened when Sowore interviewed him? If truly you did, you will understand that of not for this man, MKO would not have known the results of that election. You people should not invite curses into your lives. If He was Yoruba you will not say this at all. |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by obyno82: 8:15am On Mar 28, 2025 |
Goosethetruth:Thunder fire you there and your lineage. The same Humphrey Nwosu damned the consequences and started announcing results even when they had issued a court order forcing him to stop. He had the results except Taraba which he was going to announce. See ehnn God will punish you guys and your lineage for lying against this man. If he was alive none of you will ever say this. |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by funshint(m): 8:44am On Mar 28, 2025 |
obyno82:I'm trying to be a bit diplomatic with you but I can see that you're a big fowl...if you're conversant with elections you should know by now that each political party also have a copy of election results which they collate in their various situation rooms. Abiola and everybody already knew the result and knew he had won but the declaration of the election umpire carries the bigger weight. HN simply allowed himself to be used. |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by obyno82: 9:05am On Mar 28, 2025 |
funshint:If i say you and the people that birthed you are nog fowls you will say I am insulting you. Who instituted option A4 that allowed for political party agents to have access to result sheets at the polling centers? Oga try and have sense and stop being stupid. |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by gidgiddy: 9:15am On Mar 28, 2025 |
Goosethetruth:And with all you said, you still don't understand understand that the long failed British colonial contraption called Nigeria should have been dissolved a long time ago and everybody go their way? |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by bong4(m): 9:17am On Mar 28, 2025 |
LegendHero:So we are then right to call Tinubu, Wole Soyinka and co. cowards for running away to form NADECO outside the country to fight the military. |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by Goosethetruth(m): 9:34am On Mar 28, 2025 |
obyno82:Your tears are salty and delicious Obinna. No national honour for the cowardly military collaborator Humphrey Nwosu. Let him be buried with ignominy and his grave be unmarked. He never announced any election results so stop the lies. The state results were announced by state NEC officials while Nwosu refused to announce the collation of the whole and declare Abiola the winner! If Ibo state government's feel Nwosu is a hero they are free to honour him in their individual state BUT as for National- no honour for Nwosu. In fact the one minute silence the senate gave him yesterday was totally UNDESERVED! |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by Goosethetruth(m): 9:44am On Mar 28, 2025 |
gidgiddy:Lol....😆😆😆 You better call on Eyinanya Abaribe (who has been in the senate since Orji Uzor Kalu impeached him as the deputy governor of Abia state) to pass a motion calling for referendum on Biafra instead of sitting in the senate collecting the perks and allowances of office. Demand the Bianca Ojukwu and other Ibo ministers withdraw from the APC government and call for Biafra instead of singing-"On your mandate we shall stand,Bola". Let all your councillors,Representatives, assembly men, governors, ministers and senators demand for Biafra instead of playing to the gallery. You want Obi for president and you also want Biafra. What a confused tribe! |

owobokiri:Lols... I will refer you to the back page of Babangida's newly released book "A JOURNEY IN SERVICE" termed "APPENDIX". IBB detailed the full NEC official results of the June 12, 1993 elections there. Abiola is immortalised because he was brave and fought the good fight for Democracy even to the last breath in his body. He knew he won the election, it was evident, he won, and he was brave enough to parade himself as president. He chosed to substitute or laid his life down for the birth of Democracy. He could have chose to be a coward too, he could have remain silent with the death threat. Nwosu didn't deserve to be posthumously award such a national honour because he didn't complete his assignment. |

Goosethetruth:Like I said, it will take you people many years to realise that we have no business being together as a country. Wise people would have known this with the disastrous Nigerian history you people reel out every day. But you people are still looking for Governors and representatives to end an unworkable British colonial disaster called Nigeria that is leading nobody anywhere Okooo ![]() |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by Goosethetruth(m): 9:54am On Mar 28, 2025 |
gidgiddy:Lol....😁😁😁 Apparently you don't realise how ridiculous your demand for Biafra looks with the widow of the Eze Gburugburu of Biafra Bianca Ojukwu serving as part of an APC government and winding her slim waist while singing:"On your mandate we shall stand,Bola." |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by funshint(m): 10:37am On Mar 28, 2025 |
obyno82:There's a big difference between knowing the election result and being declared winner. Stop being a morron. HN let down the whole country. |
| Re: Senate Rejects Motion To Immortalise Humphrey Nwosu by gidgiddy: 11:02am On Mar 28, 2025 |
Goosethetruth:Yeah, we know that you the only hope of you 'one Nigerianists' is one where all of us will remain together in a hopeless Nigeria, fighting forever, while you guys benefit from the decay |

funshint:Oga you are the slowpoke here. It is obvious you are trying to make excuses for Oshiomhole. If HN was a Yoruba man will you say this? See people like you until they beat you very well every morning you will not stop this hypocritical behaviour. |

Goosethetruth:Abiola was also a military collaborator. We knew he financed the coup to remove Buhari he also sanctioned Abacha's coup against Phone kanu so what ate you saying? |
