Daniel's letter is NEEDLESS The Gov's response is childish also. Why will a state govt allow the FG take over one of its institutions? It flatly shows that the State Govt is not capable of maintaining the school. But since they belong to the same party, Daniel shouldnt have written the letter publicly to expose the present govt while praising his own past govt. Thats ego tripping. And the response of the govt, trying to justify the take over is crap and childish. As elderstateman, the gov should have called Daniel to a lunch to explain |

Two incompetent men, neither of them achieved even a tenth of what Amosun did in that state, yet they’re squabbling like children. History will remember them as the worst governors Ogun State has ever had, and the people will never think of them fondly. Ogun State, being so close to Lagos and home to many Lagos workers and businesspeople, should be one of the most developed states in Nigeria, with top-notch infrastructure, healthcare, schools, and roads. But corrupt leaders like these two have only dragged the state backward. |

Mynd44:So you are more interested in the politics than the betterment of the school, you people are like your master Tinubu, you guys are more concerned about politics than governance, reason why you guys are busy destroying the country, that's all you people always ever wanted, tribal supremacy through dirty politics, you people have achieved your goal but you've all lost your identity, you may not understand what that means now but time will reveal it to you guys |

Since Bisi Onabanjo died, quality education died in Ogun state. Subsequent administrators are only top dressing the system. |

State government established their university to provide more admission opportunities for Ogun State students. And now that you become Governor you handed it over to federal government to become federal university because you say it is in the interest of equitable distribution of federal institutions across the state, not due to any failure of funding or neglect. They are not being truthful |

It’s obvious the governor is eyeing Gbenga Daniel’s senate seat and the Senator is not willing to give it up without a fight. |

Mynd44:Daniel and Abiodun should not be fighting over Ijebu Senatorial Seat. I clearly understand you. I know both of them have interest in that seat. My major concern is that prominent Ijebu indigenes or prominent Ogun State indigenes are less concerned about what is happening at home. Dapo Abiodun should focus more on what he can do about the prospective oil discoveries in Ogun State. It seems he is more interested in the development of Ogun State Free Trade Zone as he was the Chairman of the board when AMOSUN was governor and he was the one that first revealed that DANGOTE Refinery would have been in that place but AMOSUN frustrated it. We have not heard much about the downstream oil installation of Petrolex Mega Oil City project. The company launched the planning, design and development of the Petrolex Mega Oil City in Ibefun, Ogun State in 2012, but this is 2025. Till date, we have not heard anything about Oil Prospecting Licenses issued to companies for oil in Ogun State. Rather than fighting for Senatorial Seat, Awujale and other prominent rulers in Ijebu land should make sure no individual can represent Ijebu more than two tenure . We have large number of heavy industries coming up in Ogun State. Our oil and gas fields need to be developed for future generations. Personally to me, I pass through the TASUED whenever travelling, I always wondered why it was converted to University. We need our Oilfields and Olokola free trade zone development more than all these mushroom schools. |

The smiling Gbengus, he has a point what percentage of allocations to the state goto funding education? These governors at times are the reason why people who negative perception about the FG as they don't feel the impact of all those trillions borrowed and shared every month. Some governors spend 8 years without fixing roads, renovating hospitals and tertiary institutions they just embezzle and guzzle money. They dont even encourage investments into the state, they borrow money for useless projects which are never completed. Let them expose themselves its entertaining. |
