CapitalCee:Brazil vs Spain was the match i was looking to in 2010 until the unfortunate happened in the QF. In fact, the defeat to the Netherlands is regarded as one of the most unlikely defeats in football history. Brazil completely dominated them till an an own goal from sneider left footed cross changed the trajectory the game. |

We can't list top 5 female strikers in the world without making a case for Chelsea's Ramirez (The most expensive signing in women football as at the time she was bought). Can we list top 5 strikers in the world for men and fight for Jackson's inclusion? Oga Nateevs sef go look away. Terrible board. |

A relegated team from the premier league makes more money than the champions of serie A,bundesliga and ligue 1.

I think it’s safe to say football has become too generic and safe, no one wants to take a risk anymore and the jeopardy has been sucked out by dictators in the dugout rather than managers that allowed players to express themselves! Just look at Grealish and how he has fallen out of love with the game because he doesn’t play it the way we all used to love, closest thing to the good times is Forest but believe me it won’t be long until that style of football is totally lost and replaced by this statistic based shit because all the kids in the academy are being coached to death. Eventually, you won’t have wingers, trequaristas, hard tackling CB’s, strikers etc.. you will just have players that are coached to be defensive and players that are coached to be attacking players and those players will be ‘designed’ in a way that the defensive players can play in any of the 5 defensive positions and the attackers likewise in the 5 attacking positions and maverick players like Hoddle, Maradona, Messi, Figo, Zidane, Zola, Hazard and more recently Grealish will be a thing of the past because players will be expected to be interchangeable parts in a statistical based system. Even Palmer, who is the closest thing to a maverick right now is being made to look ineffective because the system doesn’t play to his strengths. No surprise since he has been underperforming we’ve been shit, problem is at start of the season we got results when Palmer took control of games against the tactics of Maresca but he hasn’t been able to do it lately on his own because he needs a willing accomplice to play off and Jackson was his guy that allowed him the space to play as he wished, now he doesn’t have a runner to drag defenders out of position and has to rely solely on Maresca’s stat play he’s unable to have an impact in a predictable and repetitive system. In the next 5 years players that want to play the game the way they want to play it will be joining teams in Serie A best believe!!! The same way players like Zola, Bergkamp, Henry, Di Matteo, Vialli, Ravanelli etc all started leaving Italy at the end of the 90’s because Serie A had become a tactical bore and the Premier League was fast, free flowing, exciting football that appealed to them, where the majority of them came and thrived, the exact opposite is now beginning to happen. Serie A isn’t quite the equivalent of 90’s Prem but it is by far the closest league in Europe to having a bit of jeopardy in it where players aren’t afraid to give the ball away or have a shot from 35 yards because they might get told off by the ‘3rd phase possessional transition’ coach who is a glorified PE teacher and has a degree in sports science and is the Matt Le Tissier of Microsoft Excel but has never played the game but stands on the touch line shouting at Foden to move a centimetre to the left so he can receive the ball and pass it backwards. Anyway, basically in short what I’m saying is ‘the game is gone’. |

PDPGuy:I agree with your take I no longer look forward to watch football because it's less entertaining with predictable pattern of play from both teams even for teams without technical players to execute tactical instructions |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by AirBere: 8:25am On Mar 28, 2025 |
PDPGuy:I think most people will agree with your point. Lionel Scaloni said something similar and I agree with everything he said. But that's just the modern game in a nutshell. I don't think players left Seria A because it became a tactical bore. Serie A was #1 and the toughest league in the world then, the EPL was #3 or #2 depending on where you place Laliga. The EPL was also the redemption camp for top players who struggled in serie A and Laliga. Players like Henry, Bergkamp couldn't light up the league because the top managers were in seria A just like the EPL today with insane tactics and of course, the best players were playing there at the time. Another reason why players started coming to the EPL was viewership and of course MONEY. The MONEY part is very important that's why I don't see players leaving the EPL to Serie A in the next five years. Unless, players who don't care about money. The EPL is here to stay. There's just too much MONEY, quality(players/managers) and so much fan fare. |

andrewbaba44:Yeah he tried his best. He was a good quality scorer but not an all timer. He would cook even more in this era when even small teams are forming high line and playing out from the back. |

CapitalCee:I am talking about the football they played at that World Cup. Even that Dutch team with Van Bommel and De Jong butchering people up and down did not resemble any previous Dutch teams. |

Ibime:She really needs a 'Palmer' in her team like Jackson enjoyed but underutilized. In Spain Ramirez for Levante - 20 goals in 34 matches Jackson for Villarreal - 12 goals in 35 matches |

airmark:If she missed 2 big chances out of 16 how come her goal tally is 10 out of 28 matches? |
| Re: Official Chelsea Fan Thread: Club World Cup Champions 2025-2029 by Ibime(m): 10:17am On Mar 28, 2025 |
airmark:She has better supporting cast relative to Jackson, simple. She plays for the 2nd best team in the world and returning poverty numbers. Jackson doesnt play for one of the top 15 teams in the world right now |

afrodoc2:Brazil was the only decent team that Netherlands defeated in that world cup. Although they were effiecient and clinical but not eye catching. Germany and Spain were the best team in that tournament. |

Ibime:Show us the number of chances created then let's compare it with the male team. When we check Jackson's poverty numbers in Laliga and Senegal national team, Jackson is blessed with great supporting cast hard to find elsewhere, yet he flops. Mention the top 14 teams in the world now. ![]() |

timbros:You always jump into convos beyond your mental capability. Every smart Chelsea fan would understand that i was referring to the board being terrible regarding the male team while they did the needful for the female team. |
