Why must countries ... especially African countries depend on the West for anything? Trump is doing Third World countries a favour .... forcing them to be independent. What he is also doing is isolating America ...strangling it. Trump is living in the past ...just like Tinubu and most of our colonialised leaders. Trump does not realize that the US is no longer the only Big Boy on the block. ... that trading with the US has been declining...the G7 power and influence is declining and BRICS is already up to their level and moving up. Soon Canada and Mexico may join BRICS then what? Trump is destroying the US.

You don't need spending to build influence, I can't remember Russia funding anyone to become influential. American has been funding too many countries and organizations in aides and donations leaving huge deficit annually and it's a good thing Trump cutting down on the spending.

Then how would they trade with other countries? Given the won't be equal exports and imports? What will be the use of accumulated cash from other countries not redeemed in export? Even Russia can't drop the dollar because of this.

US has been the major funder of all major organizations like WTO, UN and so on for over 50 years. Even the countries abusing US like SA receives billions of USD in aides from the US annually, Nigeria is also not left out.

At 51 I am sure I am older than your dumb father, with that said loans and security pacts are different from singlehandedly funding organizations that benefits the world like UN, WTO and also provide funding in aides to countries around the world including Asia, Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

How much influence does China or Russia have over Europe? Africa is a dumping ground for anyone. In trades, Europe is No1. So, can we discuss the influence China and Russia are exerting without having to spend?

What do you know? If USA don't want to fund it's 11% then let them allow other countries to stop using $$$ dollars as reserved currency of the world. The moment this stops America is gone. That's why Trump is threatening to sanctions BRICS countries.
