NDLEA has the Fvckin right to check your passport, they can check due to the reasons below

1. Interception of illicit drugs NDLEA may check passports to identify and intercept individuals attempting to smuggle illicit drugs into or out of the country.
2. Travel history and patterns By examining your passport, NDLEA may be able to identify suspicious travel patterns, such as frequent travel to countries known for drug trafficking.
3. Verification of identity: NDLEA may check passports to verify the identity of travelers, ensuring that individuals are who they claim to be.

The dude is just looking for someone to fight with, if I happened to be an officer at the airport I’ll have the idiot detained
Did he introduce himself properly and is he on his uniform?!

The comment I've been looking for. Thank you. You're a soldier, so what? I should stop doing my job?
What if he is one of these Airport rats who extort ignorant travellers?!

No formal introduction. No self identification. No uniform.

He just asked for his passport.
That is crazy.

The guy should calm down, he can't do this to an immigration or DEA officers in the USA.
You’re absolutely correct. A DEA officer can call any passenger for a secondary check.

But in this video, one can see that the approach of the DEA officer wasn’t professional. He was more into the man’s passport than checking his luggage.

Most of you here written trash never past through those idiots at airport.. what right has an NDLEA official has to check his passport.. if u want to check his bag go ahead and do that .it is the work of immigration officer to check his passport..

Are you dumb so he won't introduce himself properly before demanding his passport.

You are mad. In Nigeria here where just about any hooligan/airport rat have some form of fake ID given to them by the officers who they collect bribes for on their behalf.

The military guy actually started with aggression. The Custome Officer was fair enough, when was your last time here. Just answer the damn question. Immediately you guys enter this country. You just wanna attack everyone. He's not gonna seize your passport let him check whatever he wants. You don't know maybe he has an intel info he's working with. If you can wait 7hours in a plane. An extra 5minutes in an airport shouldn't be a problem.
Know your rights no be curse.

Was it the immigration official that notified the NDLEA to check the man ? Was the NDLEA official seating at an assigned desk when he asked the traveler for his passport? For all I care - that man may be off duty and decided to seat in a general area to hussle

Officials of Drug control or Immigration world wide have a desk - EXCEPT those doing the search at designated points which are manned by officials "STANDING" - emphasis on "STANDING" - not some random fellow sitting his butt down and deciding who to harass or intimidate at random!

Very unprofessional. What happens to having a central desk to screen someone and direct them to respective office if there is offence. He looks like a rabbit face.

True talk, if a white man in a US airport ask for his passport especially in this Trump no nonsense era he would have been shaking and saying yes sir and would have never dare to film ICE or DEA agents at a US airport. I know how Africans relate to oyinbo abroad. His attitude was condescending because black people generally don't respect each other.

That’s why I always fly through Abuja Airport—they treat me like royalty.

I have never felt prouder to be a Nigerian than when I meet the arrival immigration officers at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport. Their professionalism is unmatched.

Whoever is their Oga, increase their salary—these guys deserve it. I’ve been to over 40 international airports, and nowhere else do I feel as genuinely welcome as I do in Abuja.
dem d harass for Abuja airport oh

On the one hand, the first customs officer, probably was new on the job, grateful to God, he is working in a job many are struggling to get into or probably an esprit de corps kinda of guy who once he recognized the dude was an officer, simply let him be. Even his questions were not altogether hostile. His part is commendable.

The returnee soldier in mufti: he started well, I mean not wanting to show off his military status but then, this is Nigeria, the only language majority regard is money and power. The Nigerian officials may have seen the prescription drugs in the bag or noticed his tense non-verbals and that may have set them off thinking make we try our luck. But Soldier boy was having none of that. Mentioning they were being recorded was a power move, a tardy bit unnecessary though which explains why making 'content' became an issue.. Long story short, wear your uniform, if not wear your hat, display your dog tags, your military ID and they would back off.

No evidence he was a soldier pls, having camo in your luggage coming from the US doesn't make you a soldier automatically. Did he showed any ID, you can buy camouflage from a freaking 7 11 so what is so special about being a soldier.
