Please 🙏 guys is there anyone here applied for agri-food pilot the recent one that just closed on Feb 13th this year.... pls I need more enlightenment on this 🙏I went for Biometric January, pls like how many months interval will it take for them to call for passport submission ? OR Does anyone know how long it’s taking these agri-food pilot to process visa?

Visa Refused !
Reason was my purpose of visit isnt for temporary purpose , I have also requested for GCMS note.
However in the tracker ( New IRcc New Version) it says Eligibility - completed and Background check is still "In Progress even after decision was taken. Has anyone experienced such and what could be the reason.

That is how IRCC manage their tracker, the most important section is the Eligibility. Where there is a refusal or approval, other section might still be pending but the Eligibility will be surely completed to show the Application is no longer opened but closed.

Submitted my application for a new TRV on Feb 19th. Old one expired in Nov 2024. Got passport request email on March 19. Exactly a month after.
Posting this for anyone looking for current timelines. Have valid US and UK visas

I would say u should gv him till nxt month. I knw abt someone that applied in nov but got a decision on the 14th of this month. So give him till nxt month, but after nxt month, hold him on d neck tightly

The processing time from my country of residence was 260 days then, which made me in my application to program that I will travel this coming July. Currently, the processing time from my country of residence is about 535 days. Please, which of the processing time will they use to decide my case.

I'm applying for a retreat in Canada, sponsored by a US-based organization I work with. Currently, I work for them on a gig basis without formal documentation, receiving monthly payments for jobs done. They're willing to assist with any necessary letters or documentation to support my application.

I have a previous history of being denied a student visa in 2016. However, since then, I've traveled extensively as a tourist, consistently departing 3-5 days after entering any country (last trip was in 2018). This upcoming retreat is a 6-day event with approximately 15 participants from the USA and various parts of Canada.

I'm seeking clear guidance on:

The specific steps for my visa application

Documentation my sponsors should prepare

How to address my previous visa denial (if needed)

My primary goal is to understand the most effective approach to ensure a smooth application process for this retreat.

I have ties to Nigeria such as landed properties, I work remotely for the same org. Funds are roughly 800k-1.3 per month, not married.

Good afternoon. From what I have read here, you need to apply for a GCMS note. If you have your UCI number and your application number, you will know the true status of your application. I hope this helps, wishing you all the best.

I only have the application number, the other information is with the agent…. When ever I called him he will tell me that we are still waiting for the result anytime Frm now….that’s what the agent use to tell me

Visit him in his office and demand he opens ur portal in ur presence. As far as i knw, there's already a decision on ur application.

She has applied for a visitors visa twice and got denied on both occasion. The first was last year when she requested to come spend time with her sister, she was denied stating she did not have enough economic and financial ties in Nigeria. ps-she provided her 6 months pay slip, letter from employer stating she is going on leave, and bank statements then.

For the recent denial, she was already engaged to me, but we thought it was better the sister still invites her, as they have legal association. We only plan to have our wedding in Canada, during this visit, before she finally moves to the US. To support the application this time around, we provided purchased return tickets, letter of leave from employer, pension statements, tax returns, shares documents, proof of address in Nigeria, letter of introduction from church, family photos, past travel documents, and invitation letter from her sister, as well as her sister's bank statements. However, the visa was still denied. I have now requested GCMS notes and I plan to reapply myself stating that she wants to come for our wedding which is scheduled for July. I wanted to know what we are doing wrong and what steps could be taken to ensure that we meet the July date for her to be in Canada.

Come to Nigeria for your wedding and file for her, that's the only way forward.

In this era of massive visa rejection, you have given the best advice as reapplying too much cannot gurantee visa approval!

I think it’s best to come to Nigeria and marry and then apply for her. Right now they are considering her on her sister’s merit which is that she is from a country with high asylum applications and she may end up not leaving in their calculation.
There’s a lot of visa denials now, and even at POE there’s another level of scrutiny these days for first time visitors especially for Nigeria and other countries where asylum rate is high.

Good morning y'all my visa was also refused this morning. Here's the reason on the message.
"• You do not have significant family ties outside Canada.
• Your assets and financial situation are insufficient to support the stated purpose of travel
for yourself (and any accompanying family member(s), if applicable)."

Timeline:
Applied: Jan 10
Biometrics: Jan13
Decision: Refused, March 31

If you're seeing this and you have an application, I hope you get approved. Cheers guys!

He said since I don't get any email my portal can't change. What can I do

Seems like your agent don messed up your application.
Something is definitely fishy
They most likely requested for an updated account statement.

Did you submit your personal statement of account or agent SOA packaging?

Visit your agent to open your portal in front of you, then you will see the duration of your 🤐
