I am still doubting this barbarity because been on X trying to read about this story,but nothing.
If this is true,is posted on X and goes viral,people living in that axis of Uromi should just find another place to live for the next few months at least because the government would be under pressure to act both internally from Northerners and externally from international human right organisations and governments and unfortunately the only way Nigerian governments right from the days of Obasanjo know how to react to such events is to use the military to raze towns down.
I am still hoping for the sake of Uromi people,that it's not true

These are direct govt ineptitudeness that trigger things like jungle justice. There must be consequences for bad behavior to serve as deterrent to others, otherwise, we're just building castles in the air as a nation

Edo Central has been experiencing a high incidence rate of kidnapping and killings, and the government has failed in protecting lives. People are beginning to take laws into their hands.

How do you stop jungle justice when aggrieved persons don't get justice in the courts. In the end, the judiciary will either hasten Nigeria's imminent revolution or initiate it. One way or the other, something will happen if the judicial system remains the way it is.

Hunters don't travel with weapons in public like that to regions they are not known and when they do there must have proper identification and clearance from security agencies or else how do u differentiate them from criminals especially where crime and kidnapping is on the rise?

What does fishing festival and olosho have to do with moving around with guns in this current insecure Nigeria?
Those guys should have hired a police or military personnel to escort them, Nigeria current state of insecurity doesn’t encourage such daring adventure.

Carrying guns in large numbers must not be allowed, hunt in your village. Fulani herdsmen have killed a lot of Edo people, the people have a right to be angry.
