Didn’t Trump say he was matching tariffs by other countries? If that’s the case, why is everyone so mad about it?
God bless you

The people who cannot read just swallow everything they hear on SM. This WEF PUPPET Carnage Carney is using the tariff to ramp up hatred for US so he can win the election

COMRADES are speechless, look at this unexperienced politician, honestly, I thought that this current Prime Minister is more diplomatic than Tredeu, United States is the major Canadian trading partner, the US imports goods worths of over 450 billion dollars from Canada and Canada reciprocated by importing goods 170 billion dollars only from the US in 2024., so if the trade war continues, who will be hit the most? If what I am thinking happens, Canadians will be poorer than an average Nigerian
That is the mistake Canada made trading 90% of its resources with the US, striking a new trade deal with other countries now will be not be profitable but it has to happen as it is. Canada manufactures the same products it gets from the US but less quality, though cheaper. Food is healthier tho

you make me laugh, Canada is at logger heads with US, US is at logger heads with Canada, Germany, France, Italy, UK, infact the entire Europe, Ukraine, India, China, Malaysia, Soth Africa, everyone. Canada will find trade partners in other countries to compensate for it's loss of US patronage, the JAMB question is who wants to willingly go into business with US?

Apart from trade, the United States will likely invade Canada if it feels threatened because I know Canada will try to form a military alliance with China. The United States never takes its security lightly.
Go read history, Canada no be joke o, their military is as equipped as the United States, the U.S. will be shooting itself in the leg of there is an attempt to wage war again Canada, I don't think the United States is ready for such war.

Invade Canada?
E go do you like film. Why do you think US wants to acquire Greenland? In case you don't know, it's the fear of an enemy using Greenland as a route to attack the US.

These men think far, not Nigerian leaders who are more interested in blending oil in Malta instead of fixing the economy.

Prime Minister Mark Carney’s words are not only justified, they are necessary, Canada has every right to defend its sovereignty, its economy, and its people from reckless Trump and Musk.

Canada is right to fight back, because standing tall in the face of economic aggression is not just defending trade; it’s defending dignity.

Treating your neighbor with contempt and disdain has consequences

Canada is even bigger than US in terms of landmass, and the lunatic wants to annex the country
Trump probably doesn't know who Mark Carney, the new Canada PM, is. He was so good after leading Bank of Canada for 8 years, United Kingdom employed a Canadian to lead Bank of England out of economic conundrum. This is what he does, navigate complex economic situations with precision.

Also, he was the first non-politician to be PM. Pure economic guru. All of us in the financial market know!

He was chosen to fight; he has also chosen to fight. It's a stupid thing to do. All because he relies on EU, which is even going pragmatic about it all. Well, when you fight, both parties gain nothing. And, if the the stronger gains an upper hand, your regret is eternal. Uncanny Carney hasn't been wise.

I know that your narratives have zero relationship with realities on ground.

Our response to these latest tariffs is to fight."

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney reacted to the 25% auto tariffs the Trump administration announced on Wednesday, calling them a "direct attack" on his country. Carney said in response, Canada would deliver retaliatory trade actions of its own that would have a "maximum impact in the United States."

He added that the "old relationship" the two countries had "based on deepening integration of our economies and tight security and military cooperation is over."
This is what happens when someone (in this case, Trump) tries to "micromanage" geoeconomic and geopolitical situations. It often pans out wrong down the road.

Then the end is near for Canada. No nation on earth can do without the yanks at the moment. Even the Russians were asking them to lift some of the sanctions imposed on them by sleepy Joe. The Bretton woods arrangement made the Americans into a power house and unless something drastic happens and it collapsed it still holds the ace economically and militarily.

You have shown that you know nothing about trade?
You talk like a child. So the countries Canada would depend on for trade, what would they do with their old trade partners? Would they end old trade deals with other nations just to buy Canadian products
