Lagos is building a future where every child has access to quality education.

Over the past couple of weeks, we have commissioned over 16 reconstructed and renovated schools across the state, ensuring that students in every part of our state have the infrastructure to learn, grow, and thrive.

In Ikorodu, we have delivered Keme Balogun Junior & Senior College, Ibeshe and Odogunyan Junior Grammar School

In Kosofe and Mushin; Ajegunle Junior High School, Owode-Onirin and Euba Junior High School

In Bariga, Fadeyi, and Badagry; St. Luke Junior Grammar School, Mainland Junior Secondary School, State Junior High School, Ibereko, Thogli Community Grammar School and Ipara Junior College, Majiyagbe

In Ojo, Epe, and Ibeju-Lekki, we delivered Awori Junior College, Government Junior College, Ketu-Epe, Lekki Community Senior Secondary School and Idata-Ilagbo Community Senior School

We renovated United Christian Secondary School, Ilupeju Community Grammar School, and Ipaja Junior Grammar School in Apapa, Oshodi, and Ipaja.

These renovations represent a step forward in our vision for an educated, empowered, and competitive Lagos. We will continue to invest in schools, equip our teachers, and create a learning environment that prepares our children for success.

A strong education system is the foundation of a prosperous state. To our students, teachers, and parents, this is for you.

Let’s keep working together to build a brighter future for every child in Lagos.

Lagos builds, Lagos educates, Lagos leads.

What has he been doing quietly on the recruitment of teachers, administrators, lab technicians, librarians etc to improve the ratio of public school workers to the population of the state?

What sensible person hails a public servant for physical infrastructure hardware without performing on the software of government workers for the hardware?

Utterly ridiculous and foolish, innit huh

Numbers of all the teachers recruited since 2019, do you have it?

Recruited in the last 26 years by Tinubu, Fashola, Ambode and Sanwo-Olu huh

Has he or any of his three predecessors, or even all four of them achieved anything in basic education that is close to what CORRUPT Jakande did in just four years before military dictator Buhari overthrew him and jailed him?

eluquenson:
REVISITING SOME OF THE LATEEF JAKANDE'S GOVERNMENT ACHIEVEMENTS FROM OCTOBER 1979 TO DECEMBER 1983 (FOUR YEARS AND 3 MONTHS) IN LAGOS STATE

* His government established a singular school system and ensured genuine free education in Lagos State and the beneficiaries of this policy are in different positions of eminence in the country and around the world.

* His government raised the primary schools in Lagos State to 812 with 533,001 pupils (against 605 primary schools with 434,545 pupils he met in 1979) and secondary schools to 223 with 167,629 students (against 105 schools with 107,835 students in 1979).

* His government constructed 11, 729 classrooms with the maximum of 40 children per class between March and August 1980, by 1983, he had constructed over 22,000 classrooms.

WHO SAYS 4 YEARS IN OFFICE IS NOT ENOUGH FOR MEANINGFUL ACHIEVEMENTS?

IT'S A FACT THAT 90% OF GOVERNORS IN NIGERIA SINCE 1999 WITH REVENUES AT THEIR DISPOSAL CANNOT BOAST OF A QUARTER OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS EVEN WITHIN THEIR EIGHT YEARS IN OFFICE.

Good job.

Politicians and the penchant for using words to steal projects and accord it to their names.

You didn't initiate the schools. You should say you 'Renovated/Reconstructed', not you 'Commissioned'.

That's how they go about changing names of monuments delivered by others, to their names and names of their cronies.

A lot of kids that have been fed with bile of distorted history across all ethnic groups are too many on Nairaland. It's a pity Seun and his guys have not found a way to root out tribal slurs and all that

And they won't remember you renovated dead schools left around by the Tinubu government

Renovation means painting buidlings built by jakande admisinstartion in Y2025.

No new extensin blocks to support student popu;ation growth
No electricity in those classrooms.

Just fresh Paint that will wash away after a full sunshine.

Chai, who do us for this part of the world?

No sport or assembly hall faciltiies?

Na so we see am. Kids who have never worked or delivered in any capacity in their scanty life forming experts on the internet. Give them a project of ordinary N1m, they will fail woefully. We see it everyday grin
