In a recent video shared by Channels Television, Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, reacted with disappointment over allegations made against him by former Head of Service, Dr. George Nwaeke. Nwaeke had accused the governor of orchestrating the bombing of the Rivers State House of Assembly, a claim that has sparked controversy.


Following these allegations, his wife raised an alarm by calling Fubara and stating that her husband traveled to Abuja but has since gone missing. "I don't know if he's alive, please help me," she cried out in distress, calling on the public to assist in locating him.

His wife revealed that before leaving for Abuja, he received a call from someone named Ogiri. "He went to Abuja this morning. I remember he said Ogiri called him. I can’t get him since," she lamented, fearing that something may have happened to him. She pleaded for security agencies to intervene, urging, "You people should find Ogiri’s number, let him provide my husband."

Governor Fubara, in his response, expressed shock at Nwaeke’s claims and questioned the motive behind them. He suggested that there was no reason for such betrayal, considering his past relationship with the former official. "How have I offended him, and why will he cook this level of lies against me? Where have I offended you people, after everything I have done for you people?" Fubara asked. He further speculated whether Nwaeke was under pressure to make false claims against him.

Fubara, despite his disappointment, assured that efforts would be made to determine Nwaeke’s whereabouts. "No problem, we will try and see what we can do," he said.
