2. The shutdown was not just because Ramadan, it was also because of the heatwave up North. Fasting means you cannot drink water as well. A child sitting in a hot classroom, sans AC or even fan is not going to concentrate,then let's add empty stomach. Yunusa would be hallucinating in class. Or worse.

Yes, I know, Islamization of Nigeria. This afternoon, however, I had to step out in the heat of the day by 2 pm, and I almost regretted it. And I am not a Muslim nor am I fasting.

In my own department here in National hospital Abuja ,medical residency academic activities are always shutdown for good one month in the spirit of Christmas and nobody complain.

Christians enjoy holidays on sundays which happens to be their worship day* (Christianization of Nigeria ) while Muslim and are made to go to work on Fridays,has any Muslim complain

They want to shut down schools in Northern Nigeria. Paris & New York don't. Those ones might prefer to teach kids to be accepting of homosexuality. Why not protest to them?
