Why The Igbo's Will Continue To Be Missing Out In Nigeria Politics by helinues(op): 12:28pm On Mar 31, 2025
The reason is simple. Because they don't play their politics right

Take 2023 election for example, while other regions shared their votes with different candidates, The south East people casted 80% of their votes in one basket. For that reason, Orji Kalu missed out as the Senate president

https://www.nairaland.com/7667020/why-south-east-may-not/1

2027 election is approaching yet the Igbo's are still using same tactics of not playing right but would be expecting miracle for whoever they support in 2027.

Hahaha things don't work that way. They way you lay your bed so you shall sleep on it. You can't plant guava and be expecting t harvest Apple

That is not why they are missing out.

Cos 2015, North didn't share their votes either but they didn't miss out.
The problem with Igbos is that they do not know where to put their eggs.

U see Akpabio, Tinubu and Wike having the same goal yet u think Obi will win cos he has the highest number of Twitter noise makers

Politics of hate.

They always like to be in opposition as it paints them as victims.

How many votes did GEJ receive in North in 2015?

It is very convenient and also putting food on the table of their opponents. There is no other reason. But it will end one day without any Igbo begging for it to end.

NW gave 85% of their votes to Buhari and Goodluck the president only got around 15%. That is not what a vote sharing should look like

Buhari had been receiving such % from NW but couldn't win the election. NC and SW changed the 2015 story because that's what made the difference

Those who have been on top of Nigerian politics have nothing to show for it, except their total cluelessness that brought Nigeria to sorry state it is

Lack of political power is what made Uzodinma the 4th position to eventually became the Imo state governor. Such can never happen in any other regions in Nigeria

Lack of political will is what make Kanu to still be incarcerated for over 2 years. Your politicians don't have level

It's because politically, South East is weak that's why illiterate kids was able to lock everyone at home for over 2 years Including the Igwes

Nope, Buhari has been winning NW but he has not been getting 85%
The only time they didn't share their votes, Buhari won

70% and 85% from same region is not different. The 85% wouldn't have made any difference without SW and NC.

Those are the two regions who supported GEJ in 2011 but backed out in 2015

ur main point was that SE is losing out cos they gave 80% of their votes to one candidate and I told u that is not the case cos NW also gave 85% and didn't loose out. So the 80% factor was baseless

The discussion of another region helping out was not part of ur main argument. Shior

This is the more reason why both they core north and south west should be ashamed of there past role in keeping Nigeria in a very sorry state.Every election, they continue in their circle of wrong voting decisions which has always dragged Nigerians backward.
An average Igboman knows that beyond tribe ,life still exists and this is because of our republican nature,we travel a lot,we love the good things of life and will do everything to change our immediate environment.
Historically, any politician Igbos support for presidency is usually the best for Nigeria, look at Obasanjo,Yaradua,Goodluck Jonathan.Compare these three with the tragedy your APC has offered and how the economy thrived at each period of there leadership.
More so,non of the ethnic groups that have there man as president lives better than Igbos, they all face the same terrible situation as everyother.
If only we are all Igbos in our thinking,Nigeria will be the next dubai.

Helinues, leave igbos alone and tell your masters to lighten the yoke on the necks of Nigerians. Forget your wicked and evil tribal bigotry for one day and focus on the country I'm begging you, people are hungry and frustrated and things are rapidly getting out of hand

Igbos vote competence over tribal or religious inclination

An average Igbo man doesn't care who is ruling

The earlier you people realise this the better for you

An Igbo man wants a working government

We don't Care who rules

The North and west are fixated on "who rules"

We and huge chunk of SS are fixated on "who rules we'll"

To northerners and westerners its all about "CONTROL" not "LEADERSHIP"

So Fvck off with your " POLITICS"

We don't care about it.

We want a "GOOD GOVERNANCE " not CONTROL

Your mates are in the real world working hard to change the world, but you sit behind your computer 24/7 defending one former drug lord and analysing why the Igbos aren't politically relevant.

Perhaps you have nobody to tell you that Buhari was already the president of Nigeria at your age! Well done! Keep defending idiots and keep accepting their crumbs.

Mr political power, tell us how that has helped your people? We didn't need political power to make Onitsha, Aba and Nnewi what they are, they have never been capital of anywhere

But all the political power you have had, you people cannot boast of anywhere you built, without it being the capital of somewhere

The Igbo man that I know today would rather score 10% in politics and 90% in governance cool

ask those who scored 95% in politics and 5% in governance what they have done to the country within the last 20 years cry

One thing everyone knows is that we all don't think alike in this contraption of a zoo we dub a country but it's okay . . . wink

The day Nigeria gets better is when an igbo man becomes its president and the day Nigeria gets scattered is the same day the Igbo man becomes president because the Nigeria we all seem to know today is a simple balloon waiting to burst tongue
