Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has visited the families of victims who were brutally murdered in Uromi to offer his condolences and assure them of government support.

Reports indicate that some of the victims hailed from Bunkure Local Government Area in Kano State.

In a video obtained by News360 Nigeria the governor was seen addressing the bereaved families, vowing that full compensation will be provided to those affected.

He also disclosed that 14 suspects have been arrested in connection with the killings, stressing that justice must be served.

Governor Okpebholo reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to ensuring that those responsible for the heinous act face the full wrath of the law.

The news was suppressed. Hardly got to mainstream media. Hundreds of lives lost.

Now this one is here travelling up and down, like they are his colonial masters. Looking into the matter wasn't sufficient?

Exactly the northern governors should do the same. I understand the Edo state governor is trying to avoid reprisal killings that could affect every southerner in the North but he should also make strong demands on the northern kidnappers in our forests.
