OKEHI LGA CHAIRMAN TAKES PROACTIVE MEASURES TO ENSURE PUBLIC SAFETY

Okehi Local Government Area, Kogi State - March 31, 2025

In response to recent security intelligence, the Chairman of Okehi Local Government Area, Hon. Amoka Eneji Monday, has announced a ban on all political rallies and unregulated public gatherings within the LGA.

This decision, made after a high-level security meeting with heads of security and Traditional rulers in Kogi Central, aims to maintain peace and prevent potential security breaches in the region.

"We will not compromise the safety of our people," said Hon. Amoka Eneji Monday. "We urge everyone to remain vigilant and cooperate with the government and security agencies to keep our communities safe."

The ban includes public rallies, public gatherings that could disrupt the peace, and unregulated convoy entries into the senatorial district.

The high-level security meeting was attended by:

- Local Government Chairmen across Kogi Central
- Senior Special Assistants on Security to Kogi State Governor
- Traditional Rulers
- Heads of Security outfits
- Other community stakeholders

If her sexual harassment allegation against the worst Senate President in the history of Nigeria Legislative System is even false, there should be fair hearing and setting up an independent body that will investigate the whole sexual drama.

She is in her hometown in Okehi Local Government Area of Kogi State as we speak. She went in by Helicopter flight..

They probably forgot to mention ban on Helicopter flight across the state.

In their usual style, Police, soldiers and the rest were used to block all the major roads leading to her Local Government.

The Nigerian police and co should be ashamed of themselves being used as willing tools by some few elites.. you are supposed to be the Police for all. A Yoruba adage says that if you are sent on a slavish errand, you should try to deliver that message as a freeborn.

Moral of the story: in politics eh, be two steps ahead of your adversaries. Na by brain. And Police serve only the highest bidders and the ruling elites. They kowtow easily to their wishes and caprices.. that's why you see a massive number of them guarding private properties and persons around the country.
