A Bolt driver sent an emotional voice note to a lady who had ordered his ride but left her phone on Do Not Disturb (DND) mode, leading to a frustrating experience of reaching her location.

The incident occurred when the driver arrived at the designated pickup location but was unable to contact the passenger due to her phone being on DND. After multiple attempts to reach her, the frustrated driver recorded and sent a voice note expressing his anger. In the voice note, he could be heard saying, "Na God go punish you!" and "Ogun go kill you!" as he vented his frustration over wasting time, fuel, and money.

The driver also used the opportunity to advise the rider: "Next time when ordering a ride, make sure you remove your phone from DND mode!" His emotional outburst highlights a common issue faced by ride-hailing drivers.

The voice note has sparked a conversation online, with many empathizing with the driver’s frustration and agreeing that riders should be more mindful of their phone settings to ensure smooth communication and a hassle-free experience.

you have no idea...fuel/time wasted out of the carelessness of the Rider. Its damn painful.

Soo many idiot riders do that on purpose, some just to catch fun and they don't care at all.

Na so most people de do. They will order ride and won’t be reachable, so more wicked ones will give u directions for pickup only for u to get there and they’re switched off, some will order ride as soon as u accept boom! They cancel and all these things have negative impact on drivers score. Sometimes sef u will want to beat up some runs girls and yahoo boiz who are rude but when u remember say na bolt u take de survive and if they report u it can attract 6months suspension u will just calm down and keep quiet til they get down. Anything for 5 star ratings is important 😂. In all this has been a much needed experience and I will enjoy it whilst it lasts, it’s taught me to be patient.
