Most of the failures are always good on paper until they get appointed. Pls someone should ask the president why more then 80% of the appointments for North Central goes to the minoriYorubas in Kogi and Kwara. Pls I have be shouting this, I want to know why!
Yoruba is the largest ethnic group in the north central

I know kyari will be replaced with a Yoruba even before opening the trend. Remove Kanuri replace with a Yoruba.

This VP is the most dormant VP in the history of VPs no one even hears anything from him. Even searching his name on Google won't bring any latest news from him.
So you expect the VP to outshine his master abi wetin dey work you?

Nigeria runs a one-man show everywhere you go. Any attempt by a subordinate to project will be seen as insubordination. That's why assistant, vice, deputy positions are always redundant around here except the main actor becomes incapacitated or dies.

They made sure to announce it after April 2nd midnight, so kyari wouldn't think it was an April Fools' Day prank.

It's surprising that Tinubu has allowed Mr. Kyari to continue in office until now.
That man called Kyari was a disaster as NNPCL MD. His sacking was long overdue.

HausaIgboYoruba:
same observation here. North Central positions are always given to people of Yoruba extraction mostly in Kwara and to some extent Yorubas in Kogi. Last week it's Dr Abubakar appointed as Health Insurance Chairman from Kwara and now Ojuari NNPCL CEO from same Kwara. What about people from Niger, Nassarawa, Plateau and Benue states?
Immigration is from Plateau
Tinubu like Buhari is an ethnic champion
The problem with such people is that they easily attract the people to their side under the claim of fighting for their rights only to end up doing absolutely nothing when they get into office
Is the North better off after 8 years of buhari?
But he'll even end up better than Tinubu in terms of fulfilling his tribe's political agenda

Tinubu is very consistent in his Yorubanization agenda. He never disappoint. I knew he would appoint an omoluabi as the Group CEO
But don't you see it as slap to the South that ever since it has be the North that has always be the NNPC boss?

I supported this move despite the Ojuarui can be classify as Northern but in real sense he is not because Ojulari is not Hausa or Fulani name so to me it is still better than seen another Kyari or Usman Kintugi or Mallam Birchi as the Group CEO

Mele Kyari did well to transition and stabilize the new NNPC. He did well. Happy retirement to him.

The new CEO is a product of Shell Nigeria Exploration Production Company (SNEPCo) a part of the mother company called SHELL. He was the formal MD of SNEPCo.

PS: Austin Avuru, Babs Omotowa, Bello Rabiu sit or sat on the board of Seplat. The new MD is from Renaissance Energy. Henry Ikem Obih came from ExxonMobil and had served as ED in NNPC during Buhari's time. David Ige worked in NNPC. Yusuf Usman also had a stint in Shell and NNPC. Some of these guys graduated first class and had a strong mix of public sector and private sector experience. The appointments are spot on and well thought out. We'd assess their performace within the next two years, God willing.

Bayo Ojulari is from Kwara State. They are in the NorthCentral. He is highly competent and was MD of SNEPCO.

As for the VP, historically, he cannot do more than what he is assigned. He is not in competition with his boss for visibility.

As Robert Greene said, never outshine the master. Natasha is doing it. She is winning. Time would tell if she was right. Las Las, na podcast she go end up doing because she is good at it.
people who know Natasha right from her days with her battles with yahya Bello knows she thrives where there's scandals. And Akpabio was perfectly the bait. You'll come back to this comment when she becomes a governor

Austiv Avuru used to be highest paid Naija CEO when he ran Seplat Energy Plc. He’s also its cofounder.. still making billions from Seplat.. now he’s part of running NNPC. In this life, if you are not smart and well connected.. good luck🏃🏿‍♀️😂

We all wish them to succeed in their new appointments as we wish the nation to succeed as well.

But one thing we should note is that in Nigeria good schools, sterling carrees, aspiring portfolios and private life achievements are never a proof that they will do significantly well in the new place they find themselves in relation to transforming the sector and economy for the better.

The useless south and East politicians in apc will continues to praise this harmful he goat. Whereas no meaningful appointments he has made in this region since he assumed his fraudulent president. This time, He systematically shift the ceo appointment to kwara to make it look outside his usual tribal government selections

Very good appointments, especially the Chairman who was the former MD of Shell Nigeria.
Wishing them all the best.
