Ignorance is a big diseases. In my village we don't even sale land. I know people that are not Igbo that have land in my village.

What they do is that you ask the family that owns it ( you probably would have lived in the village for sometime and they know you as outstanding member of the community) they will show you a piece to use for whatever legal purpose. Then you perform the traditional rite for the transfer.

A times an interviewer need to have some pretty good knowledge to be able to ask certain questions. If I were the interviewer I would have raised this other practices elsewhere and inquired if it is the same in the man's community.
