I'm shocked about your story but not surprised. This same thing happened to one of my guy, but in his own case, the girl told him he was the one responsible for the pregnancy. They did both traditional and white wedding. When the girl delivered, the boy was a carbon copy of her ex boyfriend. Now the stupid husband is the butt of our jokes in our place. The girl couldn't wait for the child to clock one year and she took in for the husband so as to tie the husband. The second son belongs to the husband, but the shame of the first child is tormenting him and he don't know what to do. The girl is presently pregnant with her third child. Imagine having another man's child as your first son?

That's how my neighbor also got married to a kwale girl and the marriage lasted for 5months. He caught the girl cheating 2 weeks before marriage and they still proceeded with the marriage plans thinking she will change. They got married in August 2024, I went to kwale for the traditional wedding and the white wedding in ughelli. After the marriage, the girl cheated again. Na once the guy man just end the marriage o. Be like na so kwale girls just take dey.

Congratulations sir and Thank goodness your younger sister called you at that moment, providing a much-needed distraction n and helping you snap out of that destructive mindset.

It's great that you recognized the potential danger of your emotions and took steps to remove yourself from the situation, prioritizing both your safety and hers.

Have you had a chance to calm down and process your emotions since then? How are you feeling now?

So her family members were telling you to forgive her? Someone that is engaged with someone yet another man got her pregnant. Imagine the audacity? As if reverse was the case they will accept such person for their son. Wicked people everywhere.
That family must be banished.
Gone are the days where her father will literally demand her mother's head for raising such an abominable daughter.
A disgrace to her people.

That was my pain, i was busy burning up to make things work out while she is cooling herself with her ex
95% of women don't get over ex they've dated for more than 2 years of which sex was involved... Women are emotional creatures and very attached, unlike us guys that let go emotions easily.

Those 95% can only don't F their exes, if they don't see or meet them again for years.

If your girlfriend ex is living within same state, forget about it... They'll always f themselves whenever opportunities present itself.

This is my life story
I am sharing my experience here about marriage life, some of you might call me a Simp or weakling but need to share it for those who asked me to share it when I write on a topic about what i regretted so far in 2025, was getting married last year December and ending it this Year January will pick one or two things from my story.

I met this girl 2023 through a mutual friend, we became an acquaintance and later start dating. She is from Delta state likewise myself, she comes from Ndokwa west specifically Kwale by tribe. In 2024 i proposed to her, by May I went to see her family while she came to meet mine also.

Early September i asked her family for the traditional list. We both agreed for traditional marriage and court wedding, After collecting the list we start planning towards the traditional marriage which was fixed on December 29 on a Sunday afternoon. That faithful day, i went with my people to pay the bride price and other things, and the court wedding was fixed on January 17.

January 7th, we were together discussing but something strange happened, her phone rang and i saw her going outside to answer some calls, after sometimes she came back inside not composed. I asked her what the problem was but she downplayed it and told me it was nothing, but i was not comfortable, after a while her phone rang again, it was her brother's wife calling her and asking her if she has told me about the pregnancy. I was shocked and asked her what pregnancy is she talking about.

Here comes the shock of my life, i discovered that she was some weeks pregnant, I asked her who got her pregnant, to my surprise, it was her ex boyfriend. I was enraged, mad and furious, something was whispering into my ear to go into the kitchen take a knife and stab her. Luckily for me, my younger sister called me at that moment, if not i don't know what i would have done to her. Because it was late i left the house for her.

In the morning, i came back, she was already in tears crying and asking me for forgiveness. I told her to leave my house, I picked up my phone call all her family members, called mine also.
Her family were trying to persuade me to forgive her but i told them it was unforgivable. My family asked for the refund of the bride price which was later refunded after they discovered that i did not bulge to their request of accepting her back.

It was a painful moment and a painful experience too, but i was able to pull through by the help of my family members some friends.

It was a long story i had to cut it short. It is my life story

Moral lesson: Do pregnancy test even on the day you are to tie the knot, do not trust to the extent of ignoring little things.

Extra: The guy who got her pregnant was aware and even told the girl's sister that his property with them he is coming in future to collect it. Na so I for dey look after another man's property
We want to see your traditional marriage pictures and video as a proof.

No super story in 2025.

But a man who is not pure and poor has no right going around demanding []that which he does not have and cannot afford to pay for. Such a man is considered an imbe-cile at best. undecided
Women qualify men as poor, but there is no poor woman.A lady can have only twenty thousand naira in her bank account and be planning a big wedding ceremony. All bills on the groom. After marriage 90% of responsibility fails on the man's shoulder..Yet when a man asks for submission from his woman, you will hear equal right. Why not right and equal responsibility.A poor man don't deserve to be in a relationship but all women deserve the best.

Nonsense! A woman from a poor background who has yet to escape the poverty of her background is also poor. undecided

2. That is the man's particular mugu showing there and has nothing to do with common knowledge. undecided

3. Submission from a woman is dependent on the woman giving it, is it not? A man has no power to force a woman into submitting to him unless they both agree via some sort of contract that the woman will give him submission in return for whatever it is she demands from him. undecided

4. Equal right is the ideal in any relationship, but there are many marriages out there where women submit their dreams and ambitions as individuals in exchange for some other benefit or price in marriage. There is nothing out of place about that. undecided

5. Blame the men who engage poor women in a relationship. Such men are not victims, as it is of their choice that they engage poor women in marriage. I know for a fact that many men are afraid of women more successful than themselves, especially in the black community, and this seems to be a primary reason such relationships are common in African societies. undecided

How will this not happen again? You engage in sexual intercourse before and during courtship, sometimes even when nothing like marriage has come to mind and then show surprise and alarm. This marriage stuff, ordained by God to be done with honour. Disdain for honour will always result in dishonour.

So, partners only cheat before marriage, abi? Better go do a DNA test on yourself to be sure you are the child of your own papa, to begin with. undecided

Men don't classify women as poor, but somehow African men are generally noted to avoid women who are more successful than themselves when it comes to marriage situations? Many African men even go as far as to require their wives not to work at all in the marriage. Are you certain you are OK? undecided

But why can't ladies each be a virgin.
Why is it difficult for ladies to remain virgin until marriage?
Why are they so promiscuous?

The reason is pretty much the same for why you are not a virgin yourself. The reason is pretty much the same one you have for why you failed to remain a virgin until marriage. Same reason you are equally promiscuous. undecided

This is not being a simp. You are not a simp at all. You really handled the situation perfectly. I'm even happy you didn't resort to violence especially that taking of knife. Situations of yours are the reasons why most guys are shunning marriage. Marriage to me lately is gradually losing its relevance.
