This is my life story
I am sharing my experience here about marriage life, some of you might call me a Simp or weakling but need to share it for those who asked me to share it when I write on a topic about what i regretted so far in 2025, was getting married last year December and ending it this Year January will pick one or two things from my story.

I met this girl 2023 through a mutual friend, we became an acquaintance and later start dating. She is from Delta state likewise myself, she comes from Ndokwa west specifically Kwale by tribe. In 2024 i proposed to her, by May I went to see her family while she came to meet mine also.

Early September i asked her family for the traditional list. We both agreed for traditional marriage and court wedding, After collecting the list we start planning towards the traditional marriage which was fixed on December 29 on a Sunday afternoon. That faithful day, i went with my people to pay the bride price and other things, and the court wedding was fixed on January 17.

January 7th, we were together discussing but something strange happened, her phone rang and i saw her going outside to answer some calls, after sometimes she came back inside not composed. I asked her what the problem was but she downplayed it and told me it was nothing, but i was not comfortable, after a while her phone rang again, it was her brother's wife calling her and asking her if she has told me about the pregnancy. I was shocked and asked her what pregnancy is she talking about.

Here comes the shock of my life, i discovered that she was some weeks pregnant, I asked her who got her pregnant, to my surprise, it was her ex boyfriend. I was enraged, mad and furious, something was whispering into my ear to go into the kitchen take a knife and stab her. Luckily for me, my younger sister called me at that moment, if not i don't know what i would have done to her. Because it was late i left the house for her.

In the morning, i came back, she was already in tears crying and asking me for forgiveness. I told her to leave my house, I picked up my phone call all her family members, called mine also.
Her family were trying to persuade me to forgive her but i told them it was unforgivable. My family asked for the refund of the bride price which was later refunded after they discovered that i did not bulge to their request of accepting her back.

It was a painful moment and a painful experience too, but i was able to pull through by the help of my family members some friends.

It was a long story i had to cut it short. It is my life story

Moral lesson: Do pregnancy test even on the day you are to tie the knot, do not trust to the extent of ignoring little things.

Extra: The guy who got her pregnant was aware and even told the girl's sister that his property with them he is coming in future to collect it. Na so I for dey look after another man's property

Did you at least calm down to understand my point of view? I am not in support of cheating in any way. It was easy for op not to be trapped into fathering another man's child because (I think) they were not intimate before marriage. In cases like this, the man is dragged into a paternity fraud without his knowledge. Tone down the aggression please. It's too early for that.

Um.... you are the one not paying attention at all. That he did not have sex with this one does not mean the next one would not wait until after the marriage to force OP into fathering another man's child. Paternity fraud can happen even after marriage. grin

Oh! Interesting. You are absolutely right and I'm wrong. My point doesn't matter because even a 2 month pregnancy can be pinned on a newly married man and it's also absolutely normal for a full term baby to be born at 7 months. Kudos to you!

Are you kidding me? If she had been having sex with her ex, only to conceive just days before the wedding, and the child popped out approximately 9 months later, would it have changed things much? No be the same paternity fraud abi na forcing another man's child on OP we go call am? undecided

The major issue here is that she conceived weeks before. If not, OP would have remained none the wiser, and the couple wold have carried on as though love truly was responsible for bringing them together and the rest. 😂😂😂😂😂

Stop acting like a kid, bro. You don't have to discredit someone else's submission to drive home yours. You aren't wrong neither am I. Live and let live. This aggression that you exude is beginning to be palpable(not in a good way).

That's so pathetic. I rejoice with you and could imagine all the untraceable, unremembered expenses you must have spent during the course of the relationship. It's still thank God for you for her to even tell you the truth. Most Nigerian ladies wouldn't tell you a jark and would pretend till you father another person Pikin and until that day the stranger will knock your door to come and reclaim his package.... deliberately even allowing you to cater for his child for years with the slut living with you. I really rejoice with you. She was banging double exhaust at the same time. She must be a very loaded heavy duty......just a joke 🤣......God delivered you....praise Jehovah!!!!!!!?!!

So despite all the gist about men not benefiting anything from marriage, men are still getting married.
Now see!
Don't get married.
Marriage is not for men.

Men and women are NOT judged by the same standards. A woman is judged by age, looks, sexual exposure, fertility, fitness, humility etc because without these, most men won’t be interested, they won’t be attracted and feel inspired. A man is judged by his career, social status, money, physical strength, power etc. Without these, most women won’t feel secure and safe.

So a man having high body count doesn’t decrease his value much compared to a woman with high body count, if he meets the his major value standards like money and social influence. If a woman has high body count, her value decreases significantly even when she meets other criteria like good looks.

You did the right thing my brother. We are not just talking about infidelity but going to the extent of pregnancy and deception. If I were your father and you didn't do what you did, I will disown you.

Forgive her from your heart but let her go forever. Your real wife will come. Many innocent men are caring for another man's children. It brings bad luck to a man. Some women are terrible. You can't eat your cake and then have it again

Nobody is contesting that. I only examined the issue from Op's perspective (hypothetically). That lady couldn't pin the pregnancy on him because it is over a month old and op was not intimate with her around that time.

Honestly, some ladies can be both reckless and unwise. Imagine having someone ready to marry you, yet choosing to play away. I can’t help but wonder what she found so attractive in that man that made her make such a decision.

I will keep saying this—many ladies overlook what truly makes a man desirable. The real qualities that sensible women should pay attention to are responsibility and a man who is genuinely ready to settle down.

Okay but this is quite unusual of women I know that is why i won’t believe this story ,a lady is pregnant and she didn’t pin it on you ,the only person that knows the father of a child is the lady and she didn’t pin it on you ,even if both of you agree to no sex till marriage, she will find a way to seduce you and still sex you and pin it on you so I don’t believe this trash
