Honestly MTN steals Data. I abandoned their network a week ago for Glo and my Data has been lasting. Just yesterday night, I tried doing their one day plan for 500mb due to Glo network issue. I didn't even use the data cos MTN also has network issue. Was surprised to wake up this morning with the message, "you have 78mb data left". I'm like what in hell is this? I couldn't even use the data how mange did it go?

MTN should talk true, since they started this increment madness, 7gb don't last me a week. I don't watch online video with MTN data, I use glo for that, I only connect my phone to my laptop to read emails and work, apart from that nothing else, I don't even download. I will just receive messages from MTN, you have 78 MB left. Only God will help us in this country.
I also experience same setback. However, is auto synchronization enabled on your laptop?

The reality is that the majority are ignorant.

Let me tell you some reasons why peoples data deplete.

1. Apps are set to auto update and they don't know.
2. Their WhatsApp, Instagram etc are set to auto download pictures and videos and they don't know. Majority of those videos in the apps are videos they will never watch, if ur busy and in plenty groups where they inundate you with one video or the other.
3. Youtube set to auto, so when network improves, it will be streaming at 1080p, when 480p on a small, high resolution device is probably ok.
4. If their data is sharable, people can be stealing their data without them knowing. Like your kids, bothers, your shop boys etc

You Gen Z folks spend hours a day on Whatsapp, Instagram, Snapchat, Telegram, Tik Tok, watching all manner of HD content, then you will be complaining that your data is finishing quickly. What do you expect!!
Lol
Bold of you to think that I don't know the nitty gritty of data consumption. And bolder of you to even assume that I'm Gen Z.

Let me give you a practical scenario - last week, I was browsing on my MTN when I got a text that my data was almost exhausted. It remained 100mb.

Immediately, I turned on my Airtel Mifi, and connected to it. I turned off cellular data.

Tell me why, after browsing on my Airtel wifi for a few minutes, MTN sends me a message that my data had been exhausted. I wasn't even using it. It was turned off.

Continue defending MTN. I've tracked my data usage, and I can say that MTN isn't being straightforward with their data.

The situation is so terrible.

My SIM can not find a network for days now.

Tried swapping with an MTN Agent, and for two days, the poor network stopped us.

The new SIM for the swapping looks so thin that I have heard reports of it failing after less than a month.

Why can't these people even pity their fellow humans? high cost of data and calls, yet a very woeful network.

Chai, make una pity people small self

If you want your 1gb to last 2 months, dump your smartphone and get the old java phones with edge network.

Smartphones are designed to drink and eat data.

This is Where we Expect Our National Assembly Members - to Call ALL THE NETWORK AND HAND Them WARNING ⚠️- AS THIS DATA STEALING IS TOO MUCH!
•REMEMBER THE MAN WHO WAS DESIGNATED AS THE OMBUDSMAN THEN- IN THIS AREA- NDUKWE-
• later we learnt he has joined One of the Big Telecom. This is how to Settle Nigerians- for Such will never take place in Europe 🌍 or America- where those who should be the Nation Watchdog Is /Are Now Employed As Part of the System - because of Big Renumeration!
That will Count as Unpatriotic Element!

We understand smartphones consum data, But network provider also " zapp" data

how do you explain the variation between airtel, mtn and glo rate of consumption

yesterday i checked my data volume before downloading a 270mb movie ... when i re-checked glo don comot 470mb how do you justify that

Your response is very disappointing. Since I live in Europe, nobody who can't afford it but in Nigeria nothing is working but you guys always have excuses for a failed government. WLAN in Europe is a normal thing for everyone. Nothing is working in Nigeria.

There's a point at which mtn data disappears or rushes to disappear.

It's goes like magic.

They send u data balances every now and then.... Then they stop sending u.

That time they stop sending u.... That's when the magic starts o.
Before u know it e don go.

Then why do they have to make me go through the same message prompt twice or thrice. If I want 750 naira for 2 gig 2 days, and proceed, they bring an option I don't want twice before they finally give me the one I asked for initially.
That's a cunning/cunny bitch ass move.
