Leonardo4:Can you please stop lying or you are just ignorant. It was the free float of naira that initially made naira lose value against the USD but it's now stable. Imported goods adjusted along with the right pricing of naira against the USD as FG is no longer subsidizing the exchange rate. |

FreeStuffsNG:Which stable? Are you in Nigeria? I frequent Nigeria regularly. The cost of things is more than triple I agree if you say floating the naira lose value against the dollar but Naira is still worthless it's nothing stable |

CoronaVirusPro:Exactly why Trump has to do something about it. USA is the consumer king, but Trump is saying those consumer products should be produced in America. That way the trade deficit is reduced and spiraling debt is controlled. For once American GDP should increase without a corresponding rise in its national debt. How long can America sustain the policy of quantitative easing to support consumption, it makes no sense. For once, let every dollar printed be backed with real value of production. Other countries are free to use alternative form of currency for international trade and china is free to be next father Christmas for the world. But at this point, it's extremely unhealthy for America to continue playing that role of father Christmas. Nobody is saying America shouldn't import but let their be some meaningful domestic production. 1 trillion dollars in trade deficit annually is crazy. Previous Presidents who allowed that should be hanged in public. Even U will become irritated and eventually avoid a community w.hore no matter how generous she was to U in the past. That's what America will become if nothing is done about it's deficit and national debt. No country will touch the dollar for anything because it will become so useless. |

Leonardo4:You are still lying. That nobody is subsidizing your desire for subsidized dollars doesn't make naira worthless. You are not knowledgeable about our economics and it's looking like a waste of time educating you. This explains why you were outcompeted here in Nigeria and consoling yourself with lamentations when many are faring better than you in Nigeria. I knew there was something very outlandish in the manner you lied that imported goods are now 5×. You don't know what you are writing about. Those who outcompeted you here are faring better than you and it's not too late for you to come back instead of consoling yourself with the falsehood that people are suffering here. |

LordBiden:Everything he does is wrong to you. Sit down my friend. He says he wants America great again. That they have to make wealth for themselves first. If you and your countries have not been parasitic to the US, why are you so bothered? Those who want to negotiate will do that later but for now, he wants you to know that his country has to produce more than import and as well, get richer. To me o, this man hasn't stepped on anyone's toe ever since he assumed office. He has always been giving people options What offence has someone committed by refusing to offer you what he has been offering you before now? He is only saying, let your boss world powers help you now. After all, your countries haven't been grateful for all the US has been dashing you |

CoronaVirusPro:That's why Elon musk and his team are cutting costs via DOGE. Since Trump's inauguration they have cut wastes by 2 trillion dollars. What they are planning is for American citizens to begin enjoying the social welfare EU citizens enjoy. They are planning to give every American citizen $5,000 as socials. They are selling gold green card immigration for $5million and it's already over subscribed. See no country can match America economically. They have the cheating code for now. Trump and his Economic team are doing lots of crazy things behind. Moreover all his Economic team members are billionaires. The US over the years have wasted collosal amount of money on wars in foreign lands costing US taxpayers trillions of dollars. Trump is cutting down on wars. That's why he's stopping the funding of Ukraine war. US for now is the King. They have advantage that's what Trump and his team are Maximizing on for now. |

djon78:Same one they have debunked? They are not even close to a trillion! The whole false figures have been pulled down. He now claims to only have saved $140 billion. With the whole massive layoffs, it accounts for practically nothing considering the amount of debt. You said Trumpnis cutting down on wars and the defence budget was just inflated after FAILING audit for 10 consecutive years. Trump does not care about the economy. He is only looking for funds to finance his massive tax cut. If any genuine financial appropriation need to start, it should be from defense, but they cannot touch it cos those who own them run the scam. Same Trump that just initiated the development of the F47 does not want wars? Wow! You believe they would give every citizens $5000 🤣🤣🤣 with the current economic situation of the US? Do you know where inflation is at and where it is projected to be in coming months with tariff hikes? Don't believe everything Trump tells you. Just do the mathematics and fiscal analysis and you will know it’s a scam. Let me give you an example, if Elon said he save two trillion, what is the annual budget of all those agency’s he claimed to cut cost? When you find that number, ask yourself where the two trillion came from.

donmik:There's no detail u have that I dont know. I may not 100% agree with how Trump is going about it, but he's the first President to enact real action on this urgent crisis I live in a country worse hit by this tariff but I dont build my life around sentiment. That I benefit from what is wrong doesnt change the fact that its wrong. Most republicans have said they may not agree with Trump but his actions will set a template for future trade discussions and negotiation. American coporation moved over 20 million jobs overseas within a space of 10 years, that impact was felt in most manufacturing cities esp the northeastern rust belts. Travel to those cities, they look abandoned, dilapidated and run down. these are cities that depended on manufacturing for economic sustenance. Trump is right and I stand by him on this one. |

Goke7:He loves the illiterates. He said it. Trump winning the election tells you dumbos have outnumbered the intelligent ones. Simple maths they don’t know. They keep telling them the poor ones among them is the reason why they are poor while the rich ones feed off them. Their hate makes them vote against their own interest. They know Trump was dumb and unfit, they just could not allow a black woman become president. Now, irrespective of party lines, everyone is being served and they the one screaming the most. |

FreeStuffsNG:First of I don't need to be an economist to know that Nigeria's economy is in shambles. I visit Nigetia often Cox of family ties It took me few months to achieve what I was struggling to get for years immediately I left. So everyone that left was outcompeted? Don't think like that .there are lots of reasons behind leaving Nigeria. If I tell u what I do you won't say that again. The best of us are leaving the country in droves. Thanks to bad governance. Cars that cost 3.4 to 4m before this regime now cost around 12 to 13m. That's more than tripled. Today you get quotations of over 90 t0 100m for building u could easily erect with less than 40m in 2020 People like you may not even be in Nigeria or planning to run at the slightest opportunity. |

CoronaVirusPro:All that the man is even doing is just retribution against Americans for preferring Biden to him in 2020 and against the entire world for mocking him when he lost in 2020, he hasn't recovered from that. Americans are just dumbos really, I wonder what they are expecting from a Man in his second term who no longer has anything to lose. They simply underestimate the damage he may cause, thinking their so-called strong institutions will save them from a man who has no regard for either their institutions or constitution. Phew, they never see anything yet. More than 3 years still to go! |

Oh boy. This one gulped the cool aid If they wanted American citizens to enjoy social welfare, they’d start by cutting the free billions they give to billionaires in form of tax cuts. That will fund every social program and billionaires will still be hella wealthy. It’s a simple solution but America is run like a business and the shareholders are the billionaires. The most important class of people. They must be catered to even if everyone else dies in the process. As we’re speaking Trump is waxing more pro war than the previous administrations. And the fact that you don’t see his team being made up of billionaires as the problem that it is, shows you’re still deep in the trenches of conservative mind washing djon78: |

Emeskhalifa:Why are you dodging the question? Trump will destroy the US economy with his lamentable policies. The US economy is headed for a depression, which is drops in GDP over four consecutive quarters. If the American economy drops, it would have adverse effects globally. It accounts for 26% of world GDP. So, he does have a right to be concerned. |

Reciprocal tariff my foot. They are just bullies, thieves and bad payers. Them buy goods from people finish come try to arm twist people to buy their implements of genocide and toxic deaths (food and medicine ) to even out and when that is not working they then try to turn a country’s surplus trade to tariffs by dividing surplus by the no of trades. No country should ever allow another to represent more than 20 percent of their export as it leaves them exposed. fergie001: |

They don’t have a choice as they are bankrupt and just want to pull down everyone with them. That is part of the reason they are going round and stealing resources from others. grandstar: |

NothingDoMe:First and foremost, the US has done very well from free trade. The US has an unemployment rate of 4% at the end of last year signifies full employment. Most of the other wealthy countries that have higher unemployment rates. In addition, the US per capita income is one the 10 highest in the world despite its large population. The US isn't subsidising these other countries. In economics, it is called a trade deficit. A trade deficit isn't a subsidy. He needs to read his SSS1 economics textbook. 23 American laurates in economics have ripped his economic policies to shreds. They have already stated that if his tariffs and mass deportations are fully implemented, the US economy would decline by 8.9% in one year. The US economy is doomed! |
