Recalling an elected lawmaker is practically impossible under the 1999 constitution as amended. Those attempting it are only wasting everyone’s time and resources. It was definitely going to fail.

Even INEC avoided the name Natasha.

Fake APC constituents. When INEC saw the real constituents they knew and did the correct thing….send the yeye paper to the dustbin.

Next is the courts. Finally the courts will invalidate the suspension, as was the case of others before her.

Any lady called Natasha, I don dey fear am automatically. There’s always something about them and that name.

This is Nigeria.
If there is a political will and full presidential backing, a senator can be successfully recalled.

The recalled member can seek legal redress but the outcome is not guaranteed to
be in their favor.

Everything was done to recall Dino Melaye and it still failed.

I think that powerful message Sen. Natasha sent to INEC chair on redeeming his image before the completion of his tenure really worked.

Moreover, INEC is not financially buoyant to embark on such futile exercise at the moment.

When they saw how people defied the kangaroo orders from Benghazi, the State police commissioner and the LG Chair to welcome home their BELOVED SENATOR, they concluded rightly that "these can't be the same people who signed to have this woman recalled".

This is face saving They saw they werw cornered otherwise they would have continued the charade.

It should have been rejected same day they presented ot. How can you submit a petitin to recall someone with 250k petitioner names but only 1 address of the lead petitioner and any reasonable person will wait for nearly 2 weeks to know that they should have rejected it ab initio?

Nigerian laws are really docile, if INEC could accept fake signatures of over 208k people this means people will be emboldened to churn out fake signatures in order to recall a representative. Evidence are all over the place showing people signing this recall and INEC went ahead to accept these fake signatures but only threw it away because its les than 50% plus 1, this is pathetic.

To Recall a legislator in Nigeria is impossible.The conditions are very stringent and can't scale through.If during elections voter turnout is usually around 25% of registered voters,I don't know where anybody can get over 50% registered voters to make a recall possible.Personally,I don't like Akpabio,he is too greedy and diabolic.

The nonsense Akpabio did to NDDC as minister of Niger Delta affair,is still fresh in my mind.Akpabio sat upon NDDC for 4 years without any project executed during this time.I am from Niger Delta,i believe there is an element of truth concerning the sexual allegations of senator Natasha against Akpabio.The stories i heard about the personality of Akpabio as governor were not good at all.

Smh. You don't understand what INEC just did. It's an official request for the petitioners to amend their petition. It's not a permanent closure but an advice on what they need to do next to proceed.

If you understand politics then you should know that people who could get over 200k signatures will have no issue getting 30k votes so that all their efforts doesn't come to nought.
