He doesnt know that it is American consumers that will bear the brunt and American lives that will be hurt.

Go and look at the tarrifs imposed on US products coming to their countries, and you will be shocked, including Nigeria. No wonder goods imported from USA are more expensive and that is why most traders prefer the Chinese market.

Also, the American consumers will bear the brunt, which will discourage purchase of foreign products and services, and boost local production... Basic Economics

I will be against trump if the balance of trade is near equal but if there is a huge deficit l, I don't think any sane country will fold her arms while her country is being taken advantage of.

The US has positive balance of trade with the UK and some other countries, yet, it slapped UK
and those positive ones with 10% tarrif.

This isn't about fair or unfair.

China doesn't supply much of oil, they can source from Nigeria and other middle east Nations

You don't understand. Manufacturing in the USA can never be internationally competitive anymore. The cheap cost of labor in China has ended that story forever.

Not even 100 per cent tarriff will compete with cheap labor driven China. And exactly how long do you even expect such an impossible turn around to take?
