After a loss I cut risk in half. I never risk more than 1 percent per trade. If I take a 1%loss I use 0.5% risk on the next trade. If I take a 0.5% loss I use a 0.25% risk on the next trade. It will take me 15 to 18 losses back to back for me to blow my funded challenge account currently!

If your risk is very minimal, you won't revenge trade as it will mean nothing to you(I am assuming you have accepted losses as part of the game here). But what do I know I am still in the process of passing my challenge account.

Its not like i am over risking. I have been trading the Account since November ‘24. The Frustration of making 3 steps forward and 5 backwards is whats killing me.
And the thing is i find it very hard to do the boring things, like Going through my Journal before taking a trade, Making sure i have a checklist before pressing the buy or sell button and to cap it all conquering my inner demons!! Especially FOMO
I will do everything right but just fckup when its the moment of Truth.
I will be Funding my Live Account and Get a New Prop account for Next week.

I think you should get a book and write your trade plan in it. You can ask chatgpt for a trade plan template.just keeping it in your head is not enough. I don't journal my trade but having a 20 pages worth of information filled with my trade plan help me stay organized!. I found out that I was very disciplined following my trade plan as a Player than a day trader!

I still think it risk management though! In January of this year I had a 40% win rate but I still made 8.51% in profit that month.

About the FOMO part, that a real sh*t you got there. Although I am not 100% free from FOMO, following my trade plan helped me IMMENSELY! The realization that so long as I have an edge put in a plan made me know there will ALWAYS be setup!

I will write my Trading Plan and Checklist then paste it on my Laptop whenever i will be taking a trade.
I blew the Accounts not because of Risk Management but because of emotions, i got frustrated and just blew the whole thing! You know there are times you just feel like you've hit a wall.

Yep please do. Mine helped me stay organized. When you don't see it in the plan you don't take the trade! It a plan for a reason.Also if you can overcome your early gratification pls stick to swing trading. It can be slow and patience demanding but it easier to be disciplined. The only issue you might have is FOMO, but I solved this issue(not 100% though) by adding more pairs to my watchlist.

of course thats what i have been doing and making Good Profits.
Chasing every setup is a no for me, i will only be looking out for A+ setups from Wednesday to Friday with atleast 1:3RR

Yeah, got my self out of drawdown(2%) looking forward to passing my phase 1 challenge account next week or more. no pressure.
Missed a trade that hurts so much it felt like i took a loss . could have been up 3% .

Do you trade crypto futures too? Well that's my line of interest and all the problems you highlighted as the reasons for your losses is exactly what is causing my own losses in trading. However I'm hoping to improve on it when I get back to the market soon.

No Sir, i just Trade BTC with my Broker. I think thats the only Crypto i trade.

Stoploss Tightened
I didnt close the Position even though AU is moving Sideways for now and the CPI News for the Currency also came out Negative.
Will be Positioning on the Pairs a regularly trade.
Lesson Learnt today i no go near this pair again, its too slow for my liking.

Even though its not advisable to change strategies but I believe having a Strategy with less complication suits me most. And also i learned that My Focus and Patience Threshold is not much.


So i started test Running a New Strategy on an FTMO free Challenge and the Results are kind of Good
Quick Trades 1:2RR and i spend less than 1hr or lets 2hr Max in the Market its either TP or SL
And the results is going good
I will take around 3 Free FTMO through out the Month of April to test it Properly and build Confidence in it.

AH slow Pairs are Joy killers, never going near that Pair again

I just started a memoir to document my journey in forex too in the diary section. my hope is that we could both hold each other accountable so neither of us backslide and also to keep the motivation strong.

Yes Boss we can do that.
I am working on a Mechanical Trading System with a Low RR and high win rate. already testing it on a Free FTMO Challenge. Backtested data is very promising i am forward testing now before going live again.

Took Partials at 1:1
Then BE on this GU trade.

Breakeven HIT!!
I took Partials at 1:1 and moved SL to BE
Ended up with 1:1 for the day

Also i passed the FTMO challenge i set up last Wednesday
Was able to Pass Today Monday.
Thats 4 trading Days .

A Little Reminder to my very own self.

I have never passed a Free Challenge or a Paid Challenge i Blew all the Accounts i have traded both Free and Paid Prop Accounts.

This was the First Challenge i have ever passed, following The System Consistently.

NEW FTMO Free Challenge Account.
