You're indeed a human bot grin.

Idiot doesn't even know the judgement largely favours Obi.

No use this kind brain put person pikin belle o!
you are the one who did not comprehend the judgement and see why Yarimo is happily insisting Obi must contest under LABOUR PARTY in 2027 . Of course the judgement favours Obi who has been locked in power tussle with Abure over the LP leadership. The SC judgment now gives him ( Obi) the leeway to take control of LP and Yarimo is all too happy because the serial turn coat Obi won't have any convinient excuse to again dump another party for the looming mega party where he and alhaji Mikano's combined votes can exceed 12 million votes . So in LP he must remain.

That useless Yarimo's comment distracted me from making this very comment, even if not all in the same words.

If the court is saying it has no say in this, who now settles the matter? Does it mean any power broker can wake up and hijack the leadership of a party and there's absolutely no legal mechanism to challenge that?

This one no clear me, walahi!
there's the party's constitution. From the constitution, there are ways and means the party resolves these issues internally

Look at this one explaining Yarimo, nairaland's resident MC Oluomo, to me😂.

Who told you the idiot bothers with that level of in-depth thinking?!

They seems to have been consistently clear that the courts do not have jurisdictions over political parties affairs.

I don't know how we see this though... does it mean, few party Excos can wake-up one day and sack any of the party chairmanhuh

Where will such party chairman seek redress, if the Court is saying they don't have jurisdictionshuh

What happens, if Aburo also decides not to leave the post...where will the LP take the matter tohuh

E get as e be though
Sound reasoning. I have given this some thought too, not from the perspectives of partisanship but from a legal prism. How will a member of the party (any party at all) who believes that his rights within the party are being trampled seek recourse for justice? Methink that the erudite justices should rethink these decisions and if need be, reverse themselves. It seems to stand legal jurisprudence in its head. All I have ever known is Ubi jus Ibi remedium

So some governors may wake up one day and sack a party leadership and the court will pronounce party affairs?
Much the same way a president can wake up one morning and suspend a sitting governor. Let the reign of impunity spread like poo on the fan.

He contested under LP during the last election and won 12 states with 6M+ votes. He even beat your tinubu in Lagos and Abuja 🤣🤣

Stupid as you are, you don't even know the judgement favours Obi
With all the 6m plus votes is he the president? 6m plus votes that came mostly from his tribe men and some disgruntled christians in the middle belt.

If you believe that the removal of Abure as the chairman of Labour party will bring sanity to the party, please don't celebrate yet because other factions with their own motives will still fight dirty to take over.

So who is the Chairman now?
The caretaker ctee under Sen. Nenadi Usman is in charge not Abure & his team.

Re: Supreme Court voids Judgment Recognising Abure As LP National Chairman by Ihengwu: 2:09pm On Apr 04, 2025
Abure has set the party back quite a bit. He is incompetent and obviously lacks the capacity to move the party forward. Obi brought the party to limelight and he and his greedy followers have thrown away that progress.

No every political party has its constitution and hierarchy of powers cum conflict resolution...

So the court is simply saying that any decision taken by the party which is in line with its constitution can't be overruled by any court...

Every political party has power to do whatever they like so far it's in sync with their constitution...

I want to believe it was God who stopped labour party from taking over the leadership of this country. They would have been jumping from court to court since without making any progress.. it is so sad
