During a wedding ceremony in Turkey, Victor Osimhen’s second goal for Galatasaray caused a moment of pure football frenzy — with the wedding MC suddenly turning into a passionate football commentator! cheesy

The unforgettable incident occurred on Tuesday, April 2, during the intense Istanbul derby between Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe in the Turkish Cup quarterfinals. Nigerian superstar Victor Osimhen scored twice, leading Galatasaray to a thrilling 2-1 victory and a spot in the semifinals.

In a creative move, the wedding organizer decided to set up a big screen at the reception so that guests and attendees wouldn’t miss the highly anticipated match — even as the wedding was going on. The atmosphere was a perfect blend of celebration and football fever.

As the game unfolded live, guests gathered around the screen, reacting to every moment. Then came Osimhen’s second goal — and that’s when the MC, caught up in the excitement, dropped his usual duties and began commentating the goal like a pro, sending the hall into laughter and cheers.

The scene perfectly captured the passion for football in Turkey, where even a wedding can’t stand in the way of a big match — especially when it’s the Istanbul derby.

I still recall when my junior from secondary school signed with Galatasaray about four seasons ago. Turkish fans flooded his comment section with praise. It's amazing how much they admire their players!

You'll don't understand how passionate Turks are in football. The rivalry between Fernabache and Galatasary is one of the hottest rivalries in football.

They love good things. Still yet some Nigerians will say the guy is not good. Most especially the region that supports evil

Osimhen and other strikers in SE, needs those crosses and great passes from our midfielders. I don't know why this critical information eludes Nigeria handlers who gets carried away by comments from the hungry sport writers.
Our pattern of short passes and expecting to get to the opponent's 18 yard box is outdated. We don't even have dribblers (save for Moses Simon) to be successful at short passes. That is why even lowly rated teams will not allow us to just walk past them expecting to score goals. Modern football calls for long range, above the ground passes, looking for fast attackers like Osimhen to jump, pounce and capitalise on.
No long range shorts, no ambition, just slow build up from average and slow defenders like Troost Ekong. Very frustrating.

Football clubs have crazy cult followership in Turkey o.. Especially in Istanbul where the big 3 clubs are based.. Galatasaray, Besiktas & Fenerbache. I was an eagle fan (Besiktas) in Turkey.

Turkish fans literally worship football stars.. Really proud being a Nigerian during my years in Istanbul turkey, they so much loved Amokachi, Okocha, Emenike, etc.
