COMPAQ:Which app update? Their network was poor, couldn't do anything. Why didn't the app update while using Glo data? Or is MTN Data reserved for updates? |

Why are they bringing MTN Ghana here? Don't we have problems with Nigeria's. Nigeria mtn made sure they forced everybody's "Always On" plan expire with data on it (167GB in my case. Can you believe it?) and then few weeks later they brought it back inns clean slate 50% higher rate. I had 20k in my account to pay 100% increase in data because the 167gb I'd been accumulating for over 2 years meant more to me. Every time I think I've seen the worst that Nigeria would do to me, they manage to do even more. I'm now numb and unable to fight back. I've bought their new 9k Always On plan after one month of instability which has made me lose all the 20k I initially put in the account, plus a concurrent Airtel always on plan too, because both networks have become much worse since they jacked up prices. Over 30k gone from this instability and the last time I earned one naira from sales to Nigerians was November last year. What a tragedy to be trapped in this hell hole |

But the same MTN just stole my 2G today and funny enough, it is when I decided to off my data just to manage the remaining 2G they now reacted. I got 6G just 2 or 3days ago and decided to monitor it and when it was 3G left yesterday, I started putting my data of and stop visiting insta, TikTok and the likes but later checked and it was 2G left just for me to on data today and use part of the 2G it was gone. Nonsense people with self centered government |

chidiokay:No scientist can take your word as evidence. Do you know you can check how much each app on your phone consumes? You need to provide empirical evidence. |

masterfactor:You are obviously a novice. Windows 10 and above dey chop data. You can be idle but it's running background update that eats gigabyte of data. |

jmoore:i am tech savvy small, i turned off all app background data useage except for the idm downloader just to ensure true report checking what the apps consume is not as tenable as testing directly with a download whether scientist take it or not ... it does negate my observation or truth, try it and show me its not true |

But the network is seriously bad to the extent that without use it, the data will drain while rolling or roaming |

Nazgul:Why not opt for the 800GB annual plan? That would work out cheaper for you than the 75 GB monthly. |

Exorbitant data |
| Re: ‘We’ve No Reason To Steal Your Data,’ MTN Replies Customers by Nazgul: 5:47am On Apr 04, 2025 |
yewit37486:800/12 is 66. So I'll have to manage 66GB every month for 12 months. If I'm complaining that 75GB monthly isn't enough, 66GB would be worse. So aside the fact that the 800GB yearly would be much cheaper than paying 20k every month for 75GB, it still wouldn't solve my problem. If they had like a 1.5TB plan, one can consider it. |

| Re: ‘We’ve No Reason To Steal Your Data,’ MTN Replies Customers by yewit37486: 11:22am On Apr 04, 2025 |
Nazgul:Well, not necessarily. I don't know your actual usage, but let's say you use 100GB every month, then that 800GB will run out in 10 months and it would have cost you just 125k, roughly ~10k per month, compared to 20k monthly that currently gives you 75k which isn't sufficient. They do have a 1.5TB annual plan, but it's 450k so I personally don't see it as value for money compared to the 800GB for 125k. |

yewit37486:This makes more sense. Spending 120k every 10 months makes more sense than spending 200k. Thanks. |
