If the world abandon USD as general means of exchange then US will understand that the world is doing them more favour than they are doing the world
It costs just about $1.4m to print $1 billion in paper worth at bills of $100.

That is not even up to $2 million, not talk of $100m, without being pegged to anything.

Yet, the entire world accepts it as a tender value for exchange.

Yet, Trump and his govt are peddling that the whole world is taking advantage of the US.

* He just about to destroy the foundational structures that previous US Presidents built that brought greatness.

When other countries tariff the US no one feel sorry for the US or complain.

If they believe that then they should all remove their tariff
Don't blow things our of proportions.

Yes, other countries may not have been fair in some areas to the US but it wasn't enough to slow down or ruin the US economy

And if the US did not like it, they could take their complaint to the WTO who would judge the matter. If the US complaint was valid, they qould be permitted to place retaliatory tariffs on the other country's imports equal to the value that they place on American imports.

Donald feels the US can do without the world's economy. That all countries would be dying to do business with the US if it closes its borders. He believes it would force them to build manufacturing jobs in the US. He is delusional. His tariffs are so preposterous that many companies would prefer to pull out. The man is dumb.

He has destroyed the US economy patapata.

This headline is misleading and irresponsibly done.

Her message is clear, and clearly to the rest of the world.

Do not escalate this. If you react harshly, the world economy would be in jeopardy.

She is actually urging the rest of the world to halt the escalating tariff war and behave responsibly by not retaliating, as retaliation could depress global trade.

She has not stated that “Trump's tariff war” is destroying the global economy.
Stop kidding yourself.

Trump's war adversely affect the world's economy. The US economy is going to crash. Expeact a recession as early as the third quarter that is if GDP did not contract in the first quarter.

By next year, there would be a depression. Nations and businessmen have lost any confidence in the US economy.

By end of this year, millions of jobs would be lost.

For every job that is created, ten would be lost. Fixed!

I already foretold that Trump's policies would destroy the US economy. You can check the threads I started.

My forecast that millions of jobs would be lost should be accepted as the truth.

Trump-Tariff Imposition vs Akpabio-Natasha Brouhaha: a call for Nigerians to Prioritize National Interests Over Frivolous Distractions
The world is currently engrossed in discussions surrounding the tariff policies imposed by American conservative President, Donald Trump. His administration's decision to impose a 27% tariff on Nigeria is a matter of serious concern that requires urgent attention. Various countries affected by similar economic restrictions are actively strategizing countermeasures to safeguard their national interests. However, instead of Nigerians engaging in productive discussions on this pressing matter, the national discourse, particularly on social and mainstream media, is dominated by trivial issues such as the Natasha and Akpabio controversy. This misplaced priority reflects poorly on the national consciousness and demands urgent redress. The economic implications of a 27% tariff on Nigerian goods and services are severe. Such an imposition will significantly affect Nigeria’s trade relations with the United States, a key global economic power. The cost of exports will rise sharply, reducing Nigeria’s competitiveness in the American market. This will, in turn, lead to decreased revenue, job losses, and a weakened economy. Other nations in similar situations are actively negotiating diplomatic and economic solutions, yet Nigerians remain largely indifferent. This nonchalance towards matters of national significance is detrimental to Nigeria’s growth and stability.Rather than focusing on the economic threats posed by Trump’s tariff policies, Nigerian citizens have chosen to engage in endless debates about Natasha and Akpabio—issues that hold no tangible benefit for the country’s development. This fixation on sensationalism rather than substance is a recurring problem in Nigeria. Social media platforms, which should be tools for mobilizing national discourse on important issues, are instead flooded with gossip, political theatrics, and personality conflicts. This tendency to prioritize trivial issues over pressing national matters has become a major obstacle to Nigeria’s progress. While other nations are rallying their citizens to address economic challenges, Nigerians are occupied with distractions that add no value to their collective growth. This lack of awareness and engagement on critical policies contributes to poor governance, as leaders are not held accountable for decisions that affect the economy and citizens' welfare. For Nigeria to thrive in the global arena, its citizens must develop a heightened sense of awareness and responsibility. The country must shift from reactionary politics to proactive engagement in international affairs. Instead of fixating on social media controversies, Nigerians should use their platforms to discuss and propose strategies that will help the government responding to Trump’s tariffs threat. Intellectuals, economists, and policymakers should guide the conversation towards practical solutions, such as strengthening trade relations with other global partners, promoting local industries to reduce dependency on imports, and leveraging diplomatic channels to negotiate more favorable trade terms. Moreover, mainstream media should play a crucial role in shaping national consciousness. Rather than amplifying frivolous stories, media houses should prioritize reporting on policies that impact the economy and national security. Public discourse must be directed towards meaningful discussions that challenge governmental inefficiencies and advocate for better economic strategies.Nigeria stands at a critical juncture where national priorities must take precedence over distractions. The imposition of a 27% tariff by the Trump administration is a serious economic threat that requires immediate attention. Unfortunately, instead of discussing strategies to counter this policy, Nigerians are preoccupied with gossip and trivial political feuds. This negligence only serves to weaken Nigeria’s position on the global stage. Therefore, citizens must rise above distractions, focus on issues that matter, and actively contribute to discussions that shape the country’s economic and political future. We are about to entering a critical time that will certainly have serious economic and political consequences on our nation development, especially when the Trump tariff starts to reel out it effects. The responsibility is not only on the government but the whole citizens. National development demands conscious participation from all, and it is high time Nigerians embraced this responsibility.

She has not stated that “Trump's tariff war” is destroying the global economy.

Also, which is it? Will Trump’s tariff destroy the US economy or the economy of the other countries?

Someone suggested that businesses should find alternative trading partners. Perhaps Africa. African nations that are struggling with affording basic necessities, including HIV/AIDS medication. Perhaps China, but China would dictate their own terms. Alternatively, Europe could open its economy to China, and risk the potential for China's cheap products to flood their market and shut down their manufacturing.

Someone suggested that they should abandon the US dollar. And the global economy should cling to? Canadian dollars or Naira or yuan or Euro. Thinking the US currency is there by decree is no evidence of right minded thinking.
The whole world need to isolate America for harsh treatment and continue as normal with each other. That’s the best way to teach Trump a lesson in cooperation.

I blame AU for this if they have implemented what Gaddafi said Trump tariffs won't matter. It's high AU have a single currency that will be backed by gold, and let anyone who wants to trade with us trade with AU currency. Anyways, the US dollars is about to go down I see more countries join BRICS and China taking over most trades
