This is exactly the problem with Nigeria and further emphasizes my point about restructuring FIRST of this country before anything meaningful can work.

Ordinarily you will say there is a need for the devolution of police authority to States and Local governments, placing responsibility at the grassroots to enhance capacity but when you see things like these it just flies against what should be an ideal.

If there was local government police in Uromi those 'hunters' will probably be alive today and this dangerous situation will have been averted but where you have would be law enforcement officials at the grassroots having such sinister intentions then the danger is even worse.

Honestly this country is a mess.

The only silver lining here is that we can see that it is possible for the Federal police to check and superintend over local police as it happens in other climes.
