Please I am unable to generate amentum number on my profile. It keeps saying something went wrong. I made payment last week but it was reversed, now, I am unable to generate a new one. What can be done? or is this a general issue?

Hello Tofunmi.
The Abuja consular would send you back to Lagos and you will have to pay another MRV in order to re-attend the Lagos interview because you have only 1- free reschedule options for 221g.
Your 221g case (and possibly your travel passport and other documents) are retained or detained in Lagos therefore the Abuja consular will not have any info to continue your case
You should have requested (from the Lagos post) that your 221g case be transferred to Abuja before you pull the stunt. I even doubt iif your request application would be granted .
It seems you will purchase another MRV to reschedule back to Lagos. Ciao.

Checking passport pickup on OIS website indicates the passport is not ready for pickup, which appears strange for an interview that took place on February 27. The passport is needed for a trip in about 3 weeks and I’d appreciate if anyone has/can share insights on how I can retrieve the passport.

Is this Lagos or Abuja? Have you confirmed that the embassy has issued the visa?

WHY NOT TRY THE ONLINE BANK TRANSFER OPTION, ITS ACTUALLY VERY EASY AND WORKS WITHin few hours...card didnt work for me, both usa, naija dom cards...online bank transfer did.....and is a lot better than going to a physical bank

Thanks, in my own case they called me and sent me an email. It seems they have fixed most of the problems on their platform now.

Hello.
Yes the US embassy (AVITS also corroborate) stipulates that you must have completed your ds-160 before you make an attempt to book an appointment.
Not following the rule (probably) might cause a delay in granting your desired appointment date
However, that is not the cause of the USER INACTIVE, the cause is that you did not go back to your email and verify AVITS activation link sent to you.
Click on forgot password on AVITS and go to your email to copy the activation link which will grant you access to change your password. Good LucK.

You can only retrived the confirmation page of an already submitted ds-160. Since you said it's more than 6- months then you can fill a new one.

If the details are entered correctly, it follows that the visa is yet to he issued by the Embassy. Quite unusual with respect to the time. Probably you should send an email to the embassy or call.

Jokers those touts. One was frantically prevailing on me to allow him staple my passport photo on my DS-160 form for free, that it is required. He was later threatening that I better do that now to avoid some unknown consequences. They start from there, offering a seemingly free service before they go deeper confusing people and extorting them.

The tracking you'd be able to do would stop at the Abuja embassy. After that it gets a bit dicey. Just ensure you do not make any mistake in the drop off points.

Hallo.
If you have paid MRV over the counter you are not supposed to go back to AVITS login immediately. Wait till after 24hrs.
Login by 2 p.m noon tomorrow and click on " Pending Appointment " It will take you to calendar to pick a date. Good LucK.

Thanks a lot for your response. I am at the bank now to pay cash over the counter, but they said I must generate the slip before they can do it. The AVITS platform is not responding to GENERATE commands. So I am unable to pay.
Please who can help.
