Court Bars PDP from Interfering with Dan Orbih’s South-South Leadership | #Politicsnigeria

The Federal High Court in Abuja has stopped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from interfering in the leadership of Dan Orbih and his team in the South-South region.

Justice Inyang Ekwo, who gave the ruling, said the PDP must not interfere in the work or leadership of the South-South Zonal Working Committee led by Orbih.

POLITICS NIGERIA reports that the committee, backed by FCT Minister Wike was elected on February 22, 2025, in Calabar, Cross River State.

The court’s order will be valid until a final decision is made in the ongoing case, labelled FHC/ABJ/CS/505/2025, filed by Chief Dan Orbih and members of his committee.

Justice Ekwo also stopped another group led by Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, which was appointed by the PDP’s National Working Committee (NWC), from acting as leaders of the zone or parading as zonal committee.

The case was adjourned to Friday, April 11, 2025.

exactly my thoughts when I saw the headline. Supreme court already said this. Cjn need to talk to judges, it's becoming so embarrassing. I'm not a lawyer but I remembered the last two cases on this

When will these our olodo judges learn that this is party matter and throw the case out

I blame the NJC for this problem.
Any judge that interferes with supreme court pronouncemens
such as the internal affairs of a party should be suspended or expelled.

Even if they can't suspend judges, the plaintiff should be heavily fined minimum 100 million Naira if such
frivolous suits ever get to the supreme court. By the time one or two politicians gets burned, such cases
will no longer end up in court.

If not, politicians will continue will continue to bastardize the justice system
while important cases will be delayed due to political workloads of judges.

I no dey undastand Naija court anymore. Abi people don dey buy court rulings. You enta court and tell them wetin you want dem go give you.

The supreme court says party leadership should be controlled by their political parties based on the laws that govern the party. Also the leadership of the party which is the NWC should be the decision making of the party. What is this court injunction for again. Nigeria court is our problem currently. PDP never abused the court as it's done by APC otherwise Jonathan wouldn't have lost 2015 election.

All this our kangaroo judiciary, wey wike dey control, honestly the way naija dey go now e go reach time wey be say if any judge give all these their useless judgement because of money, men go kpai them na for grave them go chop the money, judiciary is messing up this country, they go see white them go swear say na purple, pass the judgment immediately to hell with every other person.

Are you so daft that you don't know that Dan Orbih is the tool Wike is using to destabilize PDP in Edo State?

I thought the Supreme Court just ruled that party leadership conflicts is beyond any court intervention. So the ruling is null and void
