Too sad I said it here that he doesn't look healthy from that last video before he died and to confirm my last observation that health check should have been carried out before that match at all , another news has it that he left Nigeria to go for this boxing match without Nigeria boxing team approval why because he needed money to settle bills at home because he was in serious debt so no safety measures was conducted before that match it's a pity he died looking for money to settle debts

This is Nigeria. That's all I'll tell you.
Why would they waste resources doing autopsy on your dad when they can immediately GUESS the cause of death?
There was a guy, autopsy result came out same day - turned out they simply harvested organs!
Don't always assume everything negative for Nigeria. I've seen where things are done very quick like that too. Maybe not always though!

That was a heart attack? It was quick.
Heart attacks are usually quick.

It's unlikely any measures could have saved his life (though it's worth trying). I mean SCD have also occured when doctors were right there on the playing field.
The best thing is prevention - have your heart regularly checked while feeling healthy. But who does that?
There are measures to save his life. I have trained for this. Automated External Defibrillator + CPR could have saved his life. You go into cardiac arrest before you die, you just don't die instantly.

The process to save his life can go on for minutes. It's takes around 4 minutes to 10 minutes before someone can die due to brain injury.

The doctor should have started CPR immediately while he waits for or send for AED device to shock the patient to try to start is heart again

But usually when it is closely examined things go differently - like NPF producing suspects in a crime within hours. Until you look closely and see that the "suspects" were anyone around vicinity of the crime! grin

But aren't AED usually used in sedentary cardiac arrest. I've never heard of them using AED for someone actively engaging in a strenuous sporting activity. I mean we've see so many collapses on soccer fields but no AED being used

Heart attacks are not quick. Heart attack can go on for more than 30minutes. There are signs and pains you will observe in certain parts of your body and arm.

I just gave an example of a disease whose first sign that one has it can be death.
Healthy people with no signs of any disease will not suddenly start undergoing tests - and especially not an apparently healthy and active 40-year-old boxer! See below
stop contradicting yourself na. Regular check up is strongly advised whether you are looking healthy or not.

AED are used all the time and time is of the essence in this case. There are AED kits you can put in your handbag and move around with. CPR could help save his life but it does not have high success rate but when AED is used the success rate is significantly high when compared to just CPR

How can you list these tests and not include what tests they are for?

What's D-dimer, what's Troponin, what's Lipid profile? undecided
D-dimer is a marker for embolism

Troponin I is a cardiac marker....

Lipid profile to check you fat levels

Renal function test to check the health conditions of the kidney

Full blood count to check general blood indices like PCV, Haemoglobin level etc.

This is actually deceptive. Nigerian Boxing actually APPROVED him to fight on a card but he barely missed the weight. So they APPROVED him to fight, only that it wasn't THIS fight. Has nothing to do with his health.
SCD (sudden cardiac death) is sometimes the very first sign that anything is wrong

Why don't you shut-up,as you know nothing.

Who goes to have a Troponin-I done for no reason?

Maybe dumbos.

Troponin I should be done in a Hospital and not on a man walking around in the streets
I'm trying to educate you. Instead of you to learn....

Please try to learn.... What if you make this as part of your routine test to check your health?

Hello bro.
I understand some of the tests you wrote but can you explain further about the rest?

D- dimer - what is this test for?
Troponin I - And this test?
Renal function - I guess this is kidney
Liver function - I understand this.
Lipid profile and full blood count - this is more cholesterol and blood level.
D-dimer is a marker for embolism

Troponin I is a cardiac marker....

Lipid profile to check you fat levels

Renal function test to check the health conditions of the kidney

Full blood count to check general blood indices like PCV, Haemoglobin level etc.

Go and check and see if regular check-up includes checking the heart. Regular (annual) blood work and check-up doesn't include heart unless there's indication there's something wrong with the heart or family history.
People with normal ECG will not suddenly start doing all those tests

Very quick autopsy result. If na here now, it will take months if not years and at the end it can still be inconclusive
What rubbish are you saying? What so difficult to detect in cardiac arrest?
I was expecting more information about his heart condition not information we already perceived.

so long as you have the money you can include whatever test you choose to as part of your regular health check, people do it all the time.

Talking from experience, I had an Indian client who does TFT, PSA, FPSA, Myoglobin and CK-MB as part of his routine blood work.

Your Indian patient probably has family history or abnormal ECG. Also, I bet he's not a healthy, active, 40-year-old boxer!

*Maybe they should start having cardiologists on hand before sports events to do all those tests

I hate this country eh. Nothing is working in this zoo. You can imagine. If it's Nigeria, autopsy will take decades, and even if it comes out, the results will be either missing or inconclusive.

Very useless country. Pansophist and Gerrard59 can bear me witness on this.

That Referee though, seeing someone go down like that without being punched and you couldn't rush and call for medical attention, but you were paying attention to his opponent....gosh
