‎He struggled to see himself through a university education in the same school to the level of PhD in 2022.

‎Since then, they have refused to convert him to an academic staff.

‎EBSU should have converted this man and used him as a reference point for hard work, but he has no one who knows someone who knows another person. He is still a cleaner with a PhD.

‎Under the immediate V.C., six persons from outside the University were allegedly employed in the department he is qualified to work from, but they can't simply convert him. Reason, he knows no one at the top.

‎He has met two principal officers to the current Governor from Izzi and a commissioner, and none of them could help.

‎He can't even get a job elsewhere because he knows no one at the top.

It's more difficult getting a job with PhD than lesser qualifications. So, don't talk down on him.

Remember,he joined the services of the university with school certificate or similar qualification. He developed himself by reading and improving on his qualifications.

Now, what he needs is Conversation to higher grade. It's not automatic. Because the establishment will Tell you that it's not part of the agreement that when you obtain higher qualifications, you would be upgraded.

So, take Note the ordeals involved.

Intervene to do what exactly? Is he the only Ph.D holder in the state and must he work at that particular university if he truly deserves to have a PhD? Dey there dey wait for people to employ you because you think you have a PhD, just because you hold a paper that says so.
Experience matters, not certificate. A brilliant Master degree holder will get a lecturing job in any university in Nigeria. We even have colleges of education that he can apply to to get the required experience and move from there.
I've not seen my certificates since 2021, but I've changed jobs twice. If you think you're entitled to a job just because you hold a certificate, sorry is your case.

You cannot have that wealth of knowledge and be a cleaner when you can actually get a job elsewhere if you apply.
The PhD is questionable. This is not about the nation, it about him as an individual.
People with SSCE are doing great out there. PhD in mathematics Education, why not find a college of education to apply for.
Personally I feel his degree is questionable.

Job hunt with PhD is most difficult and discomfiting. Should not be a victim!
