The principle of reciprocal tariffs, as a tool for safeguarding domestic employment and industrial sectors, holds merit. However, the Republic of Zimbabwe maintains a policy of fostering amicable relations with all nations, and cultivating adversarial relationships with none.

In the spirit of constructing a mutually beneficial and positive relationship with the United States of America, under the leadership of President Trump, I will direct the Zimbabwean government to implement a suspension of all tariffs levied on goods originating from the United States. This measure is intended to facilitate the expansion of American imports within the Zimbabwean market, while simultaneously promoting the growth of Zimbabwean exports destined for the United States. This action underscores our commitment to a framework of equitable trade and enhanced bilateral cooperation.

Good for Zimbabweans. I hope Nigerian government follows the same step, make the prices of all imports from USA crash in our market. Never!! Tinubu will never do that even if Trump raise the tariffs on the imports from Nigeria to 50% as retaliation or reduce it to 0% as a good gesture

This is just reverse psychology by Mnangagwa, after his country has suffered years of western sanctions.

He knows exactly what he’s doing - playing on Trump’s stupidity and narcissism.

Watch for how Trump lavishes them with praise and lifting of sanctions etc, in response for “bowing” to him.

He is a narcissist. It is VERY EASY to get what you want from a narcissist.

Just boost their fragile ego a little bit, and you will get ALL you want from them.

I have to give it to the Democrats. They're putting Trump on his toes with their crazy opposition. They have held on to the media and the US Judiciary... Something that's lacking in Nigeria... And they're really controlling the narrative. They have flooded the mainstream media with doomsday rantings of how Trump tariffs would be the end of America. Meanwhile, in the real world, the man is winning. Countries are cancelling tariffs on American goods and the country is creating jobs at an impressive rate.

trump told some countries the USA trades with. I’ll make our people pay more for any product our country decides to buy from you guys. This will make goods bought from these counties more expensive than USA goods in the country. Now this means companies might buy local goods, rather than import from those countries. One of these countries is now trying to gain favor and have that sanction dropped for his country by removing any sanctions or tariff involved in importing USA goods into their country.

Lol. Like I mentioned a couple of days ago, none of the world leaders have been able to counter the "evdidence" presented by Trump. Most are either ranting or raining insults.

Watch how they will tell you THIS MAN threatened Trump lf he fails to reduce the tariff on Nigeria.
