This is what transpires when people reason from their behind! Now let's assume they threaten to take revenge, don't they know their brothers in other southern states will become a target? Their unguarded and stupid actions will lead to another round of retaliation which will claim more of their people! |

Definitely, u guz myt hv bn "sneaking" into villages & causing mayhem unscathed, abi? Every region, State,cLGA, Hamlet, Village, Community, Estate, Street, Home - Remember what YT Danjuma warned some years ago - BY ALL MEANS & AT ALL COSTS, PROTECT YOURSELVES... Strategically, Sometimes, the best form of defence is ... Be tactical... EnofIsEnof... We are talking about life or death, here. See what "they" are doing in Plateau State . Millions of Nigerians ... that those guz who are "dressed as "hunters" myt be those who lay siege on communities & villages at dawn, raping, maiming, killing & cutting people into pieces. Guz, the kinda logistics/support/access/aiding & abetting these kidnappers/killers/murderers enjoy erh from ... ...BRACE UP EVERYONE! Any governor not living up to expectations MUST RESIGN! |

I have always maintained that this rampant killings is as a result of the failure of our security structure where we operate a central system! State and community policing that would solve atleast half of the problem should have been signed into law by lawmakers! Why are the NA members wasting time or are they waiting for the country to burn before they do what should have been done years ago? Decentralize the security structure and make it independent from the influence of political office holders including president and state governors! |

Jungle justice should be frowned upon by everyone. If these hunters were seen as threats, why no call the police on them? Why set them ablaze? That's wrong. Those behind it know they wouldn't like themselves and their family members set ablaze too, so, why do it to someone else? Reciprocating this act will just make it worse. Let's just make peace reign. |

Kutiba alaykum qisos fil qatlu In order to avoid further loss of lives, the government should arrest and prosecute the killers. Currently, e are sitting on kegs of gun powder. |

The hunters also called for the case to be transferred to a Kano court to ensure transparency and fairness. They referenced a precedent in which the Kano State Government handed over a suspect to Bayelsa State for trial. You most be joking!!! |

BlueStripper:You and me, I get it. But for the victims' families not to speak, nobody should even advocate for that. And whatever the two state govs are planning for the families, they should act on it like today to calm their nerves a bit as process of getting justice will take time. |

Freshtruth:Uromi are Esan. The rest of the country are fed up of AK-47 toting fulani herdsmen, from Middle belt to South South to South West and even South East, the damage is too much. Uromi is a watershed, Fulani need to be careful with any plans for revenge, the tide appears to be turning away fron them. |

BlueStripper:The Hausa have not been fair to the rest of us either. While I agree that the Hausa are also victims of Fulani atrocities, they could also be accused of collusion. It is only recently that we have started to hear "Hausa is not Fulani". This demarcation has been blurred in the Arewa coalition because it has benefited you. The Hausa must clearly distinguish themselves from these Fulani criminals so that we will know who to talk to in Fulfulde, the language of violence they ultimately understand. |

The crime was committed in Edo state, therefore, it cannot be transferred to Kano for trial. The case has to be tried in Edo state where the crime was committed. The one you mentioned concerning a suspect being transferred from Kano to Bayelsa was not similar to this one. The guy committed the crime in Bayelsa state and ran to Kano, so he ought to have been brought to Bayelsa and be tried were he committed the crime. This was the guy that ran away with an underaged age from Bayelsa to Kano states claiming that he married her. |

wonder233:Same Edo that northerners used to go and raid for S L A V E S in the olden days Same Edo that could not even stand Egbira people from Kogi state A handful of Fulanis clashed with "rugged" cultists in the bush and it resulted into the death of over 20 cultists while no single Fulani was killed. BTW, I am a northerner |

BlueStripper:The northerners killed Deborah and heaven did not fall. It is very saddening to see the North been emotional though killing is very bad. The northerners have been killing southerners since time immemorial and nothing happened. 2011, about 10 southerners youth corpers were killed in Bauchi, Deborah was killed in broad daylight. Nobody has monopoly of violence. We should learn to value life in this country. Every life is important. |

SensualMan:The thing this people don't know about uromi is that it is a very very big one family. I have lived there before. If you come peacefully they welcome you, they accommodate your small small crimes but the moment they realise you came with an intent for revenge or havoc. You will be surprised how quickly they can mobilise and erase anything that looks like your lineage in that town. As them dey pet una now abeg make una take heart. Let us try to avoid actions that even the state may find very hard to handle. Uromi people are a rare breed. Peace is golden |

SAMBARRY:The killings have been too much my guy. Now many persons are very apprehensive about northerners which is very bad. For example I was at a bus stop and all the cars that stopped refused to carry this Hausa guy by my side. It was pathetic that I had to go back home picked my car to make the journey with the innocent Hausa guy. Then it occurred to me why they prefer trucks and staying isolated. The good Fulani and Hausa people really need to work hard towards changing this narrative. |

E shock una say others sabi kpai too? Dey issue lame threats upandan. Una dey sneak at night, kill defenceless people since, una dey brag. Cowards! To show you how cowardly una be, 16 people hold guns, na unarmed people kpai dem. Dis maggot dey open mouth say I'm a northerner as if that is supposed to make anyone fear them. When your ancestors were running around in only pant and climbing trees, the capital of Edo kingdom had street lights and a city with a grid line pattern as used by major cities today. |

wonder233:You are so ignorant and sense is far from you. Fulani man if different from a Hausa man and try to get that into your thick scull. Your people murdered peaceful innocent Hausa travellers and not Fulani. Imagine a Yoruba man offended you and you went and killed an Igbo man who knew nothing about your feud with the Yoruba man Even at that, Uromi have been reduced to ghost village and the village will never ever grow again. Know this two things and know peace: 1) No Fulani will waste his time explaining to Uromi people like the way those Hausas were doing 2) Uromi would have been razed down by now had it been those 16 northerners were Fulanis BTW, I am not Fulani and most of the kidnappers in Uromi are the indigenes of Uromi |

aswani:Yet same Edo that northerners were coming to raid for S L A V E S in the olden days. Yet same Edo that Egbiras in Kogi state were dealing with Edo people and taking Edo lands every time. The north killed all the British soldiers sent to conquer the north among them were princes from Britain. Go and ask your father why the British applied indirect rule in the north but applied direct rule in the south including Benin The British destroyed and bastardised Benin but could not destroy the Emirates in the north. The British carted away all the artefacts of Benin and also took thousands of Benin people as S L A V E S. Even till this day, many Benin people are still crying to the British to return the artefacts taken since. |
