$1 in the US would get you a variety of snacks that can be quite filling.

That boli and fish that is N1,500 today, was less than N200 10 years ago. The meal you can get for $1 in the US today, was about 85 cents 10 years ago.

That $1 is about 0.1% of the average minimum wage in the US.

N1,500 over 2% of the minimum wage in Nigeria.

Hope Tope can see the difference in cost of living and purchasing power.

Interestingly, I don't think you're a heavy eater.

I don't know whats the size of your jumbo chicken but there are those who would eat it within three days if I were to eat it mixed with other food items.
Otherwise if it's just only the chicken, that just breakfast, launch and dinner with my packet of juice or bottle of yogurt and it's finished.

The federal minimum wage in the US is $7.25 per hour. For Nigeria, it is $0.97 (97 cents) per hour. He buys his meals from the likes of McDonald's and Co. for at least 10 dollars. The $1 he based his comparison on can barely buy a meatpie from either KFC, Kilimanjero etcetera etcetera.
