Historically, the politics of Nigeria stands on a tripod of Igbo, yoruba and Hausa. To control the polity of the country, two of the tripod must align. Post independence, the igbo and the North aligned up until the 1983 coup led by Malam Buhari that ousted the shagari government. That ushered a realignment fir new leadership, producing yoruba and northern alignment to produce western and northern leadership back to back.
In 1999, with the return of democracy, the obasanjo led government tried with all machinations to achieve a dissolution of northern hegemony, the plan succeeded in having a Christian governor in kaduna and another Christian governor in adamawa state. These changes have been reversed and the rest is history.
Recently, there seem to be a realignment again of the Northern hausa fulani, wooing the Eastern part of the country. This is due to a passive marginalisation by the hausa fulani stock in the Bola Tinubu government. A pointer of this direction is the unfortunate attack of weapon bearing hausa fulani travellers at uromi in Edo state Nigeria. A child of history will recall that smokes have gone up in the past due to issues less than what happened in uromi. For example, the miss World riot , the sharia crisis, the akaluka riot, all ended up targeting the Igbo and their property. But what has changed? Politics of realignment. 2027 is the target...
The hausa- fulani stock needs the vote or the apathy of one of the major ethnic groups in nigeria to clinch power.
Ladies and gentlemen, with the current state of uncertainty of the middle belt, northern Christians apathy to northern politics, the courting of the igbo vote is real.
Foe those in denial, wait until 2026 for pointers to what 2027 will look like.

Did you point out how people from South East have always tried to dismember the whole country? Who are the people that invented Yoruba Muslims, Yoruba Christian to cause division in the West? "northern hegemony" the next statement is a "christian governor".
So the christian governors were not northerners?
Someone is confused that he wants to write on tribaI Iines and reIigious Iines at same time.
