Picture 1: Servants of the Ooni of Ife, 1930.
Picture 2: Photo of Son of Amodu Tijani, Chief Oluwa of Lagos 12 July 1920.

I have another picture of the Awujale of Ijebu from the 1800s. But it seems I have reached my picture upload limit on Nairaland.

Lisabi! we revere him as a symbol of resistance and hope.

But these people who claim to honour him have failed to uphold his legacies.
Or how have they?
Is it by their Ostentatious display of wealth, and flaunting their affluence before a masses bereaved of joy that must be further oppressed and dehumanized?

Obasanjo and all of them should be wearing sackcloth for their role in bringing us to this current state. They have foisted upon Nigerians - a generation of leaders who are nothing short of wicked and disconnected from the struggles of Nigerians. And yes, they are embodiments of the very systems of power and inequality that Lisabi stood against.

Those that can look very well into past will divine that those who stood against Lisabi, are preferable to the current crop of leaders.

Na wa o wetin concern igbo for this matter .. Make una dey try calm down

Latakia:
Igbo the only tribe in the world that doesn't have origin, culture and tradition. Let's look at it
1- Isi agu their clothes originated from British during colonialism, the British used the clothes for chair while the red cap was used for winter. They threw the cap away because of the hot weather in eastern region while the local Igbo man picked it from the floor and started wearing it. The rest is history.

2- Abacha their so called Africa salad originated during the Biafra when the late Awolowo advised the federal government to blockage the eastern region from receiving food. The local Igbo men and women started eating all sorts of grasses to survive. Today, they could only add palm oil, cassava and use friend fish to make it more delicious.

3- Music, their so called music originated from Ghana, Highlife music is not their original music.

4- Origin, some of them claimed to come from Israel, some said they come from Equatorial Guinea but historical fact they are the uproot of Benin empire, their ancestor used to be slave to Benin people. The rest is history.

5- Igwe, their so-called Igwe are products of Chief Warrant during colonialism. Igbo doesn't have King.

grin grin

We are Yorubas... Brought up to love and respect people..... We don't trespass on another person right.. We are accommodating to stranger, we let you learn our language fast and we accept responsibilities..

Unlike some people that have been trained to hate yorubas right from when their papa fvck their mama and conceived them.... They have circulated rumors just to spoil the image of yorubas to their generations and lineage.....

They never accept responsibility, they never accept blame.. They hurt you first, you hurt them back, they start crying victim..

Watch out for them, they will soon invade this thread and exhibit their inborn hatred now... They hate any good about yorubas grin

God bless Yorubas
God bless omoluabi

Ah ah, even Jesus tied wrapper.

I doubt there is any culture where men did not tie wrapper or wear garments that looked like dresses. Trouser is a later innovation, not sure its even up to a 1000 years old.
