“Walking Towards Inclusion: Anchor of Hope and The IDIA Project Lead Autism Awareness Walk in Benin City” Demonstrating an unwavering dedication to building a more inclusive society and empowering children with autism to live meaningful lives, *Anchor of Hope*, in partnership with The IDIA Project, organized an inspiring autism awareness walk yesterday through the streets of Benin City. The walk began at Itohan Girls Grammar School, weaving through key areas of the historic city in a symbolic effort to raise awareness about autism and foster a robust support network for individuals affected. This initiative highlights the vital need to create opportunities that celebrate and embrace people on the autism spectrum. During the event, the organizers Anchor of Hope spoke passionately about the broader vision behind the project: "Our commitment to supporting children with autism extends far beyond Benin City—it is part of a nationwide mission. We urge institutions, corporate organizations, and compassionate individuals to stand with us in this important cause as we work towards creating a meaningful and lasting impact." Idia Aisien, President of The IDIA Project, also reaffirmed her organization’s dedication to establishing programs tailored for children with autism. “This is just the beginning of what will become an annual tradition,” she stated. “Our goal is to set up support centers and provide accessible programs and resources for children with autism and their families. These include therapy services, skill-building workshops, and other essential initiatives.” Here are some heartwarming moments captured during the walk: Source: https://naijagg.com/walking-towards-inclusion-anchor-of-hope-and-the-idia-project-lead-autism-awareness-walk-in-benin-city/

Nice one. We're yet to know the reason behind all these strange illness and disorders in our society today. Nowadays there's a rising number of: Infertility Autistic patients Stroke Diabetes High blood pressure Cancer Imbeciles Etc. Those born in the 70s/80s would understand what I'm saying cos we rarely heard of such cases back then. We used to see it only in the movies and foreign news. People were being begged to go to hospitals because they've got no reason to do so. Pregnant women would go to midwives to have their babies and safely but nowadays, women would die during labour, despite the sophisticated nature of some health institutions today. Could it be due to diets, lifestyle, etc? The debate floor is open. Have your say. |

Eriokanmi:Those issues were not diagnosed because people didn't even think to go to the doctor, they went to one useless pastor instead who told them to pray. |

The rate of autistic children in this country presently is quite high. I work in a school and I know what I'm saying. What could be the cause? |

mmsen:Growing up, I never saw one around me. We used to attend inter house sports and inter school debates back then. In my school as populated as it was, both primary and secondary, there was no single autistic patient in tnat era, neither did I see Imbeciles .But today, hardly would you visit a school without seeing one. |

Chances of giving birth to an autistic child is higher when women give birth late. That's the simple reason we have more autistic kids. Women are giving birth at 35 and above now. |

Eriokanmi:The world is changing, human natures are changing. Most common in third worlds and the tropics Climatic change, increasing environmental degradation, radioactive exposure, dirty lifestyle fast and processed foods with low quality have reduced the value of the human physiology and morphology |
