Okpa I think because of that slight bitter taste it has.
The first time I ate it, I though it was going to taste like moimoi or close.
Then Shawama...taste raw. Lol...

What were you expecting eating Okpa at Niger.

Go to Enugu state and taste Okpa.

Mine is Ewedu and Abacha

Bush meat. Often prepared with poor hygiene before they grill them at the roadside and doesn't taste as good as cow leg or goat meat.

By the time una eat okpa from enugu state, y'all will change your mind, okpa is a whole protein food, rich in vitamins and very tasty when prepared by an enugu woman, when it comes to Okpa, leave it to the Enugu women, nah their birth right 😎

Enugu is the only place I've had okpa, and it was alright, but the way people describe it - just like you have- doesn't match the reality. But then taste is subjective and not worth debating.

Omoo I can never understand that comb..... It's a very thin soup for mostly when one is ill.... At least with yam it goes since it actually acts as a lubricant to swallow ... But rice, it's just bland.... Nothin tasty

Just industrialized fufu, if you think about it. All that Spices, pepper, eggs and onions you add are the only stuff that makes it enjoyable. Else, na glorified fufu is spaghetti format.
