Nigeria has had bans on several items from all countries for decades even before OBJ.
Some items change but we have never allowed free for all imports.

US is not self-sufficient in anything, it heavily depends on import.

And before celebrating the stupid Trump action, majority of our exports
to US are energy related and exempted from tariffs.
That is why Nigeria will do nothing and let Trump and his minions
continue to bark.
