People who have never travelled and don’t know what plays will have more to say than those who have actually passed through the system.

I love what the lady said, go get a visa and experience that life of you choose to.

The western life will put you on your toes till you die. You will never have rest of mind. Don’t let TikTok videos and American movies deceive you. That system is a modernized and equipped slave market.

Those that say for the future of the kids don’t even know they are praying for their kids to get into debt from a young age and serve the system till they stop breathing. How many can pay the fees for a top university outrightly.

Even the education is wack. How many Nigerians live in top tier zip codes with highly rated schools. They only appreciate those quack schools in low rated zip codes based on what they have in Nigeria.

A country where medical bills can send you back to the streets homeless.

If you study the system, you will realize it’s a trap.

“The American dream is an illusion”

They soak you in debt to make you believe you are doing fine, and you will work for the system till you die.

Even in death, your corpse will still pay heavily to have a grave and still be owing the government sales tax when your family want to liquidate your property.
We have heard you. Let you, too hear our view from this side of the world. Then we can have a balance view

I have said it times without number - as you escape Nigeria, some chinese and lebanese are doing thanksgiving that they made it to Nigeria

in 10 years time - when you visit - if you have the papers, money and time - you will discover that lebanese and chinese are better off than

you who fled Nigeria - they will be richer than you in pounds, euros and dollars, they will live more happier life and intimidate you with their

success - and use their SUV to pour portor-portor for ya body - think and look before you leap!!!!

There is no husband in Nigeria, Tinubu's destroyed economy has rendered many young men financially useless, so dear Miss Okoli, I hope you are ready to be the breadwinner of your marriage? No sensible, ambitious man will even take you serious after hearing about your irrational decision borne out of laziness, foolishness and stupidity.

That husband that made you leave United States of America where Nursing professionals are highly rewarded to come back to labor foolishly in Nigeria without first setting up a thriving business or investment to fall back on should things go south, you may not find one because most of them are struggling to survive Tinubu's harsh economy.

Time will teach you a hard lesson.

That small dollar you saved that is making you feel like you can survive Tinubu's damaged economy will soon finish, na today? You go soon start Lekki/VI hookup for survival, time will tell.

That propaganda APC failed government wants to use you to promote to deceive gullible Nigerians that Nigeria is now better than US, you will definitely regret it. Lazy girl forming nonsense, I know your type very well angry

Lazy girl looking for an easy way out of life, a waste to her family and community that she ought to have helped working in the US as a Nurse; her mates are opening free community healthcare centers in their hometowns after working in the US as Nurses to help their poor communities, she ran back to Nigeria because she is lazy to work while giving useless excuses angry
Is that all?

I can't agree more, a lot of Nigerians abroad are seeking to return home. If Trump will not give you peace of mind, why not carry your load and return to Daddy Tinubu.
And if anyone knows her, please give her my contacts or tell her to dm me, she's going to be a good ambassador for brand Nigeria. Her accomodation and job will be covered upon return. Let's encourage one another, God bless Nigeria.

Chief, I am well grounded in the way of life in Nigeria and Abroad...!

I know both systems intimately.

You are still talking and speaking for less than a fraction of Nigerians.

If you subsidise the Japa path by over 40% today, you will have no health care, engineering and other professionals left in Nigeria! Facts!

Even your universities will be devoid of lecturers.

Now, regarding the credit system abroad, it's still a working system with a way around it for anyone with good financial intelligence.

It was designed to give the average working American a chance at living a good life which is not bad.

It's just like an average wage earner in Nigeria being able to own a car by paying a fraction every month over 3 years... That's making lives better.

Those who suffer high debts are those lacking discipline with regards to spending through Credit limits

See bro, I don't prefer one system to the other, but claiming that absence of credit in Nigeria is better since it keeps most citizens debt-free is overreaching.

Your low tax net in Nigeria is not an advantage please... It is part of what makes the nation backward, coupled with corruption and poor leadership.
You're right, sir.

I believe everyone can't travel out of the country, but it appears that once some people are privileged in 9ja, they'll think others are lazy. Hence, 9ja is suitable for everyone to make it.

How many Nigerians at age 40 own a car or house?

If I've the opportunity to travel out today, I won't think twice.

Sister Judith is a Registered US Nurse
- Sister Judith has a US passport
- Sister Judith has been single, possibly on low rent in US while cashing out steady for years
- Sister Judith with her money and US passport cannot put herself out there in Nigeria for 2 years and not find a sane young man(REASONABLE one o, not yahoo boy or lowlifers)
-Reasonable boy too managing with his decent job with decent income of 250k-350k/month will not see Sister Judith's green flag and not rush her, considering the relationship will come with likelihood of US residency. If the boy get better IT skill- the idea of sister Judith a US citizen will look to him like-"this is God sending me an angel to reward me for all the wahala PDP and APC have put me through
- Dont forget Sister Judith is a registered US nurse, if she steps foot on US soil on a Sunday morning, there is a very high possibility that she will resume as a Nurse somewhere by Monday Morning.

Sister Judith is living her life on a working template. Go abroad, secure papers, go back home, get a reasonable boy, after he has successfully impreganated you, bring him to the US as husband. The worst that will happen to sister Judith is that the boy will leave her- but child support will be sure.

If your profile is not similar to sister Judith's, dont mind Sister Judith, customize your own path.

You did not point out the lies. Just state where I lied and will throw fact at you.

Do you outrightly own your home in the US after paying it off? Why you will forever keep running. Cos it can be taken away from you if you default or taxes go haywire.

How about health unforeseen health complications? Do you have an idea how low it can take you? How many peeps got exclusive health insurance that could hold a million dollars?

Why if you hold much in the country and winning, you keep running till you stop breathing.

You own nothing! As a matter a fact, it is a business yo wait for people to get broke so you can scoop their homes cheap.

The system is built to make you keep running. A successful person in Nigeria is happier and more at peace than 90% of Americans irrespective of Nigerias economic woes.

Do you even know that system, I can take you deeper. It’s a structure I have studied for long. Illusion that you winning and own it when you own nothing!
Stop arguing what you don't know.
It's obvious you have not lived in US before.

The question is this: do the majority of us here in Nigeria really have peace? Or do we just have different problems?

Yes, the US system does keep you running. But the Nigerian system keeps you running too - its just that its a different kind of running.

The USA isn't anywhere near a model to hold up as a template for balanced, fulfilled living. That country is actually living on borrowed time. But there is still a system that has some rules at least. You just have to know what those rules are.

Nigeria also has a 'system'...but the capriciousness of that system will upend you one time, every time.

I have some simple rules I try to live by here in Nigeria: avoid will all your might, anything that will take you to the police station, the courtroom or the medical emergency room. The odds are against you from the get go. Avoid these places and one may, one just may get the peace we are all looking for.

Why do some of you make stupid arguments for the sake of arguments. You have agreed that credit is good so why have you been ranting?
If an idiot misuses the credit system to damage himself, is it the fault of the system or the person?

A system has been put in place for people who are not rich to use wisely and better their life. It is not compulsory to use credit so I don't understand the brouhaha.

I'm getting close to living in the west for a decade yet I haven't owned a brand new car not cos I can't walk into a dealership to finance one but cos I don't finance liabilities which I consider a car to be, I instead finance assets. I know with time, I'll own a brand new car but time never reach, I'm not in a hurry.

I have seen some people who drive brand new Mercedes cos they can finance it, paying ridiculous money monthly so they can do big man for us in church. i have seen someone who used money from his line of credit to throw a big party in Nigeria to appear rich etc. When kasala burst, will it be the fault of the system that they were stupid or their fault?

I saw an emerging opportunity with morderna and I capitalized cos I had access to credit. There are smart guys in Nigeria who can't capitalize on oportunnities cos they lack access to credit. There are people who have been renting a house in Lagos for over 20 years cos they just can't afford to own one, if 20 years ago, they were offered a mortgage, wouldn't they have finished paying for it while still living in it and enjoying it?

If billionaires still leverage on credit even when they can generate cash to fund their businesses, why can't we leverage credit to build our assets?

Brother, credit is the best thing after slice bread. If you are not disciplined or financially literate enough to effectively use it to your advantage, it is on you and not the system.
Well said.

You buttressed my point unknowingly.

People have fallbacks in Nigeria. Nigerians outrightly buy with the government not chasing them.

A American will pick up any car to fake it on debt. Nigerians own houses outrightly whether built in Ikorodu or Sango. They own it forever.

Nigeria is cash economy. People buy phones, houses, cars and jewelry’s with cash. They are never indebted for years.

They attend schools with cash, not credit.

Yes, Nigeria got bad leaders and economy not good, but trust me, we are happier than an average American.
Leave these people alone, they think abroad is heaven. That woman took the best decision ever.

You are always wrong about your opinions and never willing to learn. That is your problem.

I will always say it, not everyone will have the same experience in Nigeria, Like the nurse I will be returning this year as well and do not need to work in Nigeria to live a life better than what I have abroad, I will still continue to earn in dollars right in Nigeria, I can afford 24hours solar in my home, I will not pay rent and can travel out of Nigeria twice a year, now tell me why you think I will share a similar experience to you in Nigeria?

I worked very hard to get the kind of life I want and for people like me, Nigeria is heaven and it is my country.
