And you think na US go still suffer am? Do you honestly think inbetween ramping up production capacity and looking at alternative markets, the US will not find a solution. China needs US dollars. But the US just made it difficult for them to obtain that dollar with Tariff. American importers will seek cheaper alternatives. Rather than masturbating to the news, Nigeria should make itself more attractive of an export partner so they can benefit. Cause the avg American is a big spender. Chinese man no dey spend, they’ll rather you come and buy from them and give them money. If Chinese man want to spend, he’ll spend within China, he won’t buy from you. China has been benefiting from trade deficit since I was born. SalamRushdie:I could repeat the same back to you too. The US market is 300 million people, China's market is 1.4 billion alone . Also US is not actually there biggest trading partner (the no1 country though), ASEAN and EU countries exceed the value of trade with the US, and that will continue too grow, with everyone also imposing tariffs on US goods. udemzyudex:He can't reduce minimum wage, he can't restrict regulatory agencies, he is trying to force the companies back to the country, But the reason they left can't be addressed. Even those still in the country do most of the labour intensive parts in China and complete the rest in USA. What he doesn't know is, the reverse will be the case, once everyone starts paying in the US for the tariff, those still in the country will have an excuse to raise their price, and when they discover they are still not making enough profit they will move as well. Let me give you an example for cheap labour. In Nigeria, if you want to do renovation, you can decide to pay the state government agency some money and they will allow you, You then go ahead and employ who can do the job, be it bricklayer, painters, welder, as far as they are good, you negotiate with them and they go ahead and do the Job. In UK for example, you can't do that, before you begin anything, at least 3 to 5 regulatory agencies will visit, depending on if it's residential, commercial, factory, the kind of facilities that you want to use, waste management, water, gas. Then when you want to employ workers, you can't just pick anyone, they must have certifications, register with appropriate body. Sometimes the cost of labour is higher than materials, the right word is most time. 1 Like |
