At this point even if the supreme Court rule the appointment of sole administrator as illegal in next couple of months, the governor can't recover from the political damage done to his support base. The governor is still going to be removed by the house of assembly.

Nah not really ... They know they can't impeach him... There only Hope is 2027

Wike is very unpopular in rivers state as we speak

I don't really care sha

Fubara is foolish if he thinks Tinubu is neutral at this point
Re: Rivers Administrator Appoints New RSIEC Chairman by Agbegbaorogboye: 1:25pm On Apr 09, 2025
Where is he getting the power to do all these from?

Does his responsibility involve the RSIEC?

Is he planning to conduct election under a SoE which is supposed to imply insecurity?

Las las he will appoint a new Chief Judge

The same system that brought in Sim from oblivion has also driven him into oblivion.

This is a typical case of "pikin wey say him papa no go sleep, him sef no go sleep".

The Chief judge won't be spared...

Impunity level is a it's peak currently in Rivers.

They will remove the old Chief Judge and put a new one loyal to Wike...

This is Wike's third tenure.

What he failed to get quietly behind the scenes with Fubara, he has gotten with Tinubu and Ibas.

If the governor has overwhelming support as some of u here want us to believe, why are hundreds of thousands of people not protesting daily against his suspension? The governor can't survive this at all.If the governor decides to the everything Wike wants from him,he is going to be a lame duck governor with zero relevance. The nature of our politics is very transactional, and I don't see how the governor can survive the removal of everybody he appointed.

Because that's what Tinubu wanted... People in rivers state would flood the street if sim calls for that

All woke property would be zero in few hours... I said sim is the one giving Tinubu this mind to do this rubbish

But what is obvious is that a lot of Nigerians that should otherwise be men of principles are lacking in principles
All these folks with professor titles are accepting hatchet positions that will last a maximum of six months
I put myself in their positions and except there's assurance of better things after the six months, I don't see why anyone will be interested in taking these positions

The hand of Esau and the voice of Jacob.

They couldn't even pretend for a month. We can see the urgency to fix all loyalists within the next 6months all for 2027 election.

May God specially punish anyone supporting godfatherism in the country against the interest of Nigerians.

Any land that allow wike hold any rally on their land I would revoke their CofO

15 of those house members would be facing murder and possession charges with 5 billion offer for those that would switch sides

He should continue his work and pay no attention to obstructionists. Fubara had all the time in the world to do the right thing but refused.

BondRiv:
Clearly he is wiser than you. You would have stayed there and died like a fly for absolutely nothing. You will leave dead or alive. Obasanjo tried to tell some of you coconut heads about this thing called federal might. What do you want countries to do for you? If you like appear on CNN. Was Sim a defender of the constitution? Or is it because most of you have nothing in your head? Nonsense. His lawlessness brought him here. He could have played his politics of ingratitude without breaking any law but listened to wrong advisers. A clueless neophyte. His ambition is not worth the blood of any Rivers person. Resist alone with your family members. Go and join him.
Mumu analysis, do you think your president can try this in Kano or any northern state?

Re: Rivers Administrator Appoints New RSIEC Chairman by DeLaRue:

The Nigerian constitution permits it.

Oxford Dictionary defines a State of Emergency as:

'a situation of national danger or disaster in which a government suspends normal constitutional procedures in order to regain control'

According to Wikipedia:

'a state of emergency is a situation in which a government is empowered to put through policies that it would normally not be permitted to do'.

In other words, all the normal (democratic) ways of running a State are suspended for now.

In authorising a President to declare a State of emergency in a State, the Nigerian Constitution contemplates and authorise that certain democratic principles and indeed certain parts of the Constitution can be suspended in order to allow the State of Emergency to be effective.

I am of the opinion that the Sole administrator is acting within the bounds of the Constitution.

He doesn't have the constitutional power to do so even if he goes ahead and does it. Tinubu's watershed moment will be this SOE. Just give it time. All that Obasanjo did should have given us history but we are hell bent on tampering with the consituition. Obasanjo is the reason we don't have state elections in the 36 states on the same day but Mr President and his advisers never learned. The wrong will correct itself.

Life is filled with opportunities and once you get one, don't let it go.

In that six months, you can acquire more than what you will get in office for 16 years.

Use your head, it's public funds.

Well, I want to believe this will be very good ground for Fubara to approach the SC when he resumes as governor if the case from the other states is kicked out on technicalities
The state can approach the SC to determine if the Sole administrator had such powers and if he was even supposed to exist at all
All these things he's doing that will outlive his administration will be good grounds for Fubara to be able to approach SC

What I just see about this matter is like the governor is not that popular in rivers as we thought if not we are supposed to see at least some element of protest.the truth is that this administrator has an agenda and he's doing it.
In life as a wise man you choose the kind of fight you embark on that doesn't mean you are a coward but been calculative mostly when you are dealing with Nigerian politicians.me,I believe all politicians are the same, they just cajole us with lies and fake promises
